I hate to say it but I tend to agree. I admire Burrow's pace, attitude, guts and broken field abilit..... But he leaves a lot to be desired against organised defence. He certainly has no kicking game bag of tricks to admire.

Maybe McShane should be given a run at no 7 tomorrow with Burrow on the bench.

To be honest Kirke (AKA The Gentle Giant) would probably get found out more in that division as the expectation to offer something would be on him. If he was to offer a handful of drives he would be getting the w-nker sign. And rightly so.

I'd have him back at York.

Apart from Brough I can't think of a British SH who offers much more than Burrow. And he has wasted over 50% of his career, while Burrow has been a magnificent servant.There aren't British scrum halves who take on the line & make breaks, nothing like Burrow does. Sure he runs laterally & ends up looking daft occasionally. The alternative is safety first passing along the line, relying on breaks by others to support or position to put kicks in near the line. I don't know what his role is as Leeds is as regards organising, but in a number of clubs that is directed from PTB by the hooker or LF if the latter is particularly strong in that area. I'd have certainly have loved him in my team for the last 10 years.

The point is ..no matter how LITTLE you 'rate' (or anybody 'rates' him).... it's STILL OVER-RATING him.
