It's a fair cop, I was thinking Justin Murphy at Les Catalans Dragons but inexplicable wrote Aaron. Never mind these things happen in the off-seson, it's why I never post in the depths of winter.

| Quote tvoc="tvoc"Using the NRL criteria of 2000 to 2010 there have been Jason Robinson, Anthony Sullivan, Alan Hunte, Tevita Vaikona, Brett Dallas, Darren Albert, Leslie Vainikolo, Brian Carney, Gareth Raynor, Henry Fa'afili, Marcus Bai, Mark Calderwood, Aaron Murphy, Scott Donald, Pat Richards, David Hodgson, Chris Hicks, Ryan Hall and any two from the aformentioned would make my team ahead of Cummins.'"
Ah..... so we're using that much less traditional "Australian Decade" of 11 years!!
Is that like a Baker's Dozen??
Either way, if we're counting Robinson as eligible, here endeth the debate IMO.

A bit!?! A BIT of Wigan bias.
No Senior, No Sinfield, No Harris, No McGuire, No Graham, No Long

| 1. Wellens - controversial selection but far more consistent over the last DECADE than Radlinski, however much a FB with so little pace may be derided by NRL fanboys.
2. Albert
3. Lyon
4. Senior
5. Vainikolo
6. Pryce
7. Long
8. Fielden (pre-Mason form far superior than anything Morley has done in his second SL stint)
9. Cunningham
10. Graham
11. Peacock
12. Farrell
13. Sinfield (gets the 13 because Faz was more flexible in the forwards)
Bench spots:
14. Sculthorpe: stellar start to the decade but faded through injury
15. McGuire
16. Ellis
17. Hape
Burgess didn't do enough in SL to be included IMO.

I don't like it anymore than you do, just following their lead for comparison purposes.
Personally I'd have gone for the decade covering 2000 to 2009 inclusive, in which case, everybody on my off the top list still qualify for possible inclusion.

Also... if we're following their lead for comparison purposes... if there's a player you really really like (Billy Slater), but a better player in their choice position (Darren Lockyer), you can just put them somewhere they once stood for a match or two. Talk about trying to crowbar players in and making sure they don't miss out. I'm not saying he hasn't played a match or two on the wing. I can even remember a few myself. I'm just saying, as fantastic a Full Back he may be, they've picked him on the wing purely so he's in the squad and if Billy Slater is one of the two best NRL wingers of the past 10 years I'll eat my hat.
I feel a bit sorry for Wellens thinking the only reason he doesn't make my squad is because of Radlinski, so I might put him down as the Coach. Then at least he doesn't feel left out.
They also seem to have put some Union Playing, Public Toilet Dwelling, Drink Driving, Money Grabbing, Pretty Boy in the second row, but hey, it's their team. Who am I to judge!

There's your answer (using the Aussie methodoligy) there is room for both Wellens and Radlinski in the starting line-up, especially if you're not overly impressed with the selection options on the wing.
Didn't a GB International coach (possibly David Waite around 2001) play one of them on the wing to utilise them both anyway, therefore validifying that selection option?

If you say so!? Can't remember that personally but it's as good a reason as any.
Using that methodology you could also play Sinfield at 6, moving Scully to 13, Peacock to 12 and putting Graham in the pack from the bench.
It's all utter bo[ill[/iocks if you ask me but I suppose they've fill the space around the adverts on the website with something s it may as well be this "Team of the Decade". (Even though they haven't used a decade, and not really picked a proper team). So really the headline should read... "of the" but then that probably wouldn't get as many clicks. Best leave it how they've done it really.

Kear definitely played Wello wing in the 2000 world cup - think he played there in that awesome performance in the semi against the Kiwis.

| Richards has been here 5 years having made his Wigan debut in Catalans' first-ever game in 2006.
He'd take one of my wing spots.
