Thank God we've finally got out of this $hit league, tried hard again to blow it and i thought we really had after Gradel's stupid red card and then going 1-0 down but well done to Grayson and all the lads for getting the job done. Gradel would never of been forgiven if we'd blown it today, what was he thinking and then to carry on afterwards and not leave the pitch was a disgrace, he deserved a good kicking aswell as a red card.
I take my hat off to Jonny Howson, i've bagged him all season nearly but well done today and what a goal it was. still dont think he's good enough for us at this level nevermind Championship but he's only young and if he can improve and play well consistently then i hope he proves me wrong but we need some serious changes for next year. Beckford will join Everton or some PL team IMO but goes with my best wishes, he's been the reason we've gone up this year. 31 goals and a good few million earned from his goals against Man U and Spurs in the cups, i hope he has a good crack in the PL because he'll score goals where ever he is. The main thing for us is replacing his goals in the side, Bates has got to spend money. We wont survive with this sqaud and loans players again, Larry has got to bring in some better quality and cut some of the dead wood that's in the side now. I dont know how many are OOC apart from Beckford, Casper and Hughes but people like Lubo, Marques need to be released along with Casper and Hughes. The full back position need sorting out, another centre half to go with Paddy because Naylor is injured alot, Doyle's loan finishes so a solid holding midfielder is needed, probably more. A couple of strikers like Sharp, Hooper etc although that's wishful thinking. Gillingham went down today so Simeon Jackson will be for sold this summer but will he be good enough for that level? it's a risk but he's only 21-22 and has plenty of improvement in him. I heard we were after Nick Montgomery from Sheff Utd, he's OOC so it's probably true but he'd be a good signing anyway IMO, he's from Leeds, he's just won there player of the year and he's proven at that level and played in the PL.
Remember Bates saying we had to go up this year as there was "big plans" for the club. Well now we are up i pray to god the plan is to sell up. That would be better than promotion. If he sticks around we wont spend any money as he'll be draining it all and we could be in for a struggle next year, i hope not i really do but i fear for us while ever he's in charge.
