| Quote: Gotcha "I am a realist, and I have enough sense to realise that those 10 games included 2 against Catalans, and one against Warrington, whom everyone was beating over that period, hence why I asked who were the worst performers of that form league. Hence further why that period of just ten games means very little. For a start, I bet Wire win most of their first 10 games next season.'"
The problem is you are adding in a variable that you can’t really quantify, the simple fact is on the form of the last 10 games we were in that position it means nothing more nothing less.

It means absolutely nothing, as I said.

| Why pick the last 10 games to produce this meaningless league table? Why not pick the last game of the season when he hammered Wire and therefore finished top of the league??? Is the helicopter in the air with our hub cap yet?

| It's an indication that although it was a poor season, we actually finished the season in reasonable form. Given a fairly decent set of results towards the end of the season one could project some optimism onto next season.
I guess the form league indicates that Leeds were doing much better after Agar stated getting his message across, and Sinfield weeded out the bad apples and replaced them with better players.
As an optimist I would say that all of that makes me hopeful we'll have a better season next time out, though I do recognise that 10 games doesn't give a full picture, but then again a full season doesn't, due to lock off the draw, uneven fixtures and teams being understrength at various stages.

| How do Leeds NOT do better next year with a developing set of young players, a couple of almost-NRL-quality players (Ava & Martin) plus a functional half back combination?
I’m expecting another couple of signings too before next year kicks off.
Although that quality across SL isn’t what it was, the margins between success and failure at this level are not massive. Change a few key players and it changes your outlook. What I do like is that the club isn’t resting back and we’re still looking to improve where we can.

The boldest prediction is Toronto being in SL. Elstone confirmed that their promotion isn't a done deal regardless of their play off results. Be interesting to know how many chairmen are currently opposed.

Will they oppose it though? I mean each of the other clubs gets an extra £150k next year if they come in, due to not getting a share of money.
Boldest is been sane enough to say such a club would finish 6th. They would have an hell of a battle not been bottom.

Think you’ve placed us slightly too high. I’d go for 5th or 6th for us.
And Toronto way too highly. I appreciate they’ll make signings but I think their team currently is around 10th 11th SL quality.

They have to let them in. If not they’ll be up for a hell of a court battle.

If there's no opposition why isn't it already approved? After all, they've lived up to their billing as overwhelming favourites so far. They've had a full season to sort this but it still isn't.
No, while I agree that TWP probably wouldn't make top 6, I also consider it likely that they wouldn't finish bottom. I think there's a couple of clubs at least that might think the benefits to them of admitting a lamer duck might outweigh the extra £150k. Particularly if Toronto's home fixtures are once again backloaded and given their financial position that would allow them to strengthen through short term signings if the need arose. Their admission would be a bear trap for certain clubs, make no mistake.

| It’s one of those ridiculous situations you wouldn’t see in a major sport. The way RL makes things up on the fly is crazy sometimes.

On what grounds? Elstone's stated it's yet to be determined which suggests to me that TWP has nothing in writing from SL confirming automatic promotion.
