I think you malign John Wells & Brian Carney, even, heaven forbid, Phil Clarke on occasions.
FWIW I thought that some of his analysis on BnA last night was interesting.
On a similar tack, how on earth did the Giant's win the Superbowl when you look at thier stats.
Except of course that the NEP's defence was practically the worst in the NFL.
I like the use of stats but they are only an indication never the answer.

Just read his column in this weeks League Express.
Ouch for Sky.
Does he not get bored of putting the boot into people who are managing to make a living doing things he failed at - if it's not captaining Leeds to trophies, it's coaching SL teams or working as an analyst in the media?
What's next - Schoey's guide to running a successful boozer, or managing your personal finances?

I try and keep Garry Schofield the legend player and Garry Schofield the person as different people. Just so it doesn't blur the lines.
His League Express columns are slightly more stomachable than his ramblings in The Star.

His "journalistic" output in general is more stomachable if you eat it than read it...

| 25 minutes into the game and I was beginning to think that Sky had finally come to their senses and it had been kicked into touch but no such luck. Clarkey on the mike and the bloody thing was reintroduced.

Salford by 16 at half time. Oh how it's going to make all the pundits and bookies who predicted a saints win look stupid!

Only a 44 point swing in the second half. Impressive!

| In fairness to the much maligned margin metre it was almost right after the final whistle.
Having backed Salford with a 26 point start I can't tell you how delighted I was when Danny Williams caught the ball when stood completely outside the field of play only to learn that this season - according to the RFL - he is now deemed to have carried the ball dead.
Try explaining that to a new fan. He carried the ball dead ..... eh no he didn't ..... Yeah I know he didn't but he did, stop being awkward.

I think I missed this rule change in the off season and, although I can kind of understand what they are trying to achieve it goes against every other rule that mentions the receiving of the ball whilst having at least one foot out of the field of play.
A daft rule that slows down the run of play and can potentially prevent the quick 20m restart.
One has to wonder if Williams was even made aware of this rule change or if he was just on autopilot?
