| Personally, I'm not that interested in Toronto at all.
The international angle is kinda cool in a marketing way and SBW is a big name for the sport but in terms of on the pitch they are poor. The coach is just a moaner and everyone seems fixated on their salary cap.
Right now they are the worst team in SL and their squad seems unbalanced. When your best chance of winning games is because you are based so far away then you have to question their longer term sustainability. If the RFL are serious about expansion then they need to build a North American League to reduce some of this crazy travel (appreciate any NA league would require lengthy travel even for them but it's all relative).
Sure, they will win some games this year and they may stick around for a few years but at some point the money will run out or be taken away and then what?

Why is it any different to the successful rugby union southern hemisphere league? We need more teams in from France, Canada, USA, Serbia etc then we can get proper international sponsors and TV deals and rid ourselves of the M62 corridor issue. Hopefully this will put us on a better footing and bringing it back to this thread allow us to keep hold of good young prospects from RU and allow us the cash to sign top Australian talent rather than those who cant get a regular NRL spot.

| Chase Stanley and Sonny Bill Williams will add a lot to their side. They came close against Salford and lost to good sides in Cas and Wigan. Toronto’s games against Wakefield, Hull kr, Huddersfield, and Salford when they meet again are vital. If they can avoid too many injuries they will be ok IMO.

I totally agree. The longer term sustainability of Toronto is in their own continent. French teams in SL is do-able. Other European countries are a way off but it is possible.

In what way? It's keeping Union alive in Australia and now has sides in Japan and Argentina. The sponsors are known brands rather than Big Soup because all Northerners must love big portions of soup. Without that league Union only has England, France and a couple of Welsh teams.

| IF we were ever in for Lisone looks like any deal will be dead in the water. According to The Mole he’s been kept on now by NZ Warriors as one of their front line props has picked up a long term injury

| Interesting development at Toronto is that they’ve been offered four fringe players by a super league club to swap for one of their top players.

| He was the only one that came to mind. He's a good player, but definitely not worth the money he's on.
