if we lose Thursday we are in a tough fight not to be relegated. Why would any player who is of any quality sign for Leeds with the problems we are having this season. We need to first start winning with the players we have and if we can go on a run where we are winning then quality players will be looking to join us for next season. Generally the teams who finish at the bottom have never been successful at getting the top players, why would we expect to be different. Its going to be an interesting period these next 6 months. Well, I do think we'll need to bring on another 1 or 2 players this season to stiffen up our Super League bid from what I've seen so far.

I'm still fairly relaxed even if we lose to Cas, because I think Leeds do have the squad to rise past the other clubs around us at the foot of the table over the remainder of the season. Albert might give us another option at prop which we could do with, who knows. An NRL quality backrower wouldn't go amiss if we could get one, but then it's about the length and terms of contract we have to offer when a) our SL status isn't secure, b) we're already over-committed to some players on too-long contracts, c) we've already blown our Marquee beans so we need to shift some cap.

There HAS been changes, I think its 11 players gone from last years squad (I think that number is from the YEP) theres been numerous changes to the back room staff and we have a new head coach, Losing on Thursday is not ideal but it doesn’t mean we are in a relegation dog fight just yet.
What will getting rid of Furner achieve at this point? And like it or not we are stuck with our playing roster for this year, I think we will sogn a prop at some point tgough.

It seems a lot of fans haven’t really digested the fact that we are in the early stages of a rebuild of the club, it will take a few years not a few months. Yes we’ve lost more games than I would have liked but bar two matches where we collapsed for 20 minutes we haven’t been playing that badly.
