I can see your point, last couple of years they've been announced in November though, wondered if it would be the same this year.

Fair point - he definitely didn't add anything against Toronto

I think we'll still see at least 2 new arrivals hopefully 3 all 1st Teamers so i wouldnt be surprised to see it delayed.

| Must admit, the idea of trying McLelland at hooker appeals to me. He almost looks the part already

Not to me. Wasting his development. He’s an half and putting that backwards playing out of position.

Completely agree. I hope they don't turn Mclelland into an average utility pivot.

| Need to continue his development in the correct position of halfback not the jack-of-all-trades-master-of-none we seem to put some of our juniors through.

I know I am in a minority but I would like to see Myler at 9. Good distribution, doesn't have to worry about making plays other than passing it to someone, decent kicking game out of 9, good tackler.
I would like to see him play with Gale, his best rugby came when playing with an organising half such as Briers or Luke Walsh. Could try Lui at 13 if we have a playmaking loose..
I would not try Mclelland at 9, too small, would be murdered in D.

I agree that McLelland is an out and out half back and if he needs to spend time at fev on dual reg to play a full season and maybe also play the odd game for us then I would be happy with this for 2020.
Morgan Smith was ruined during his time at Warrington when they tried to turn him into a 9.
Let's hope we don't make the same mistake in playing McLelland at 9 so soon after his return to RL, as he needs game time playing his natural role and at the highest level that he can during 2020

Wonder why Great Britain never produces any quality halves? McLelland is a talented yoing number 7 and needs as much time as possible learning that role. Learning to organise, create and learning the tactical side of the game. Moving him to 9 would damage that.
We need a top quality 9.

Gosh , are we really this desperate? How does the club find itself in this position?
