Think he’s said ir will be up for review at the end of this season, by the sounds he will just be an assistant anyway.

| No. Some of the supposed issues with BM are exactly the same - refusal to delegate, to the point of paranoia about the relationship between assistant coach and players, attempting to do everything himself etc. The fact he's been dumped 4 games from finals with the Panthers well placed speaks volumes for how much of an issue he has become. The view is that the team goes out playing to his gameplan, goes well behind and then starts to play their own way, turning deficits over.
The Sinfield/Lowes partnership has delivered nothing so far. Thats hard on them but when you get a new coach you generally see some kind of positive response from the team at least in the shirt term - we're 1 win from 5 since they took over.

Whether fans wanted rid of BM or not, sacking him mid season has been a mistake. There has been little or no positive reaction from the team. McDermott's experience would have been an asset going into the qualifiers. I was not against Sinfield coming into the club at some point, but he is now, in effect a head coach with no experience.

I disagree. I don’t think we were going to earn one point under the previous, and would have finished lower still. I do however think we got the appointment at that time wrong, and should have been an Aussie at that time. The main issue with the McDermott sacking is that it should have been earlier.

| I don’t think that GH originally intended to sack BMD, I think he told him that there would be changes at the season end, including Kevin as DoR. Then I think BMD told GH he wouldn’t work for Kevin so he was left with little choice.

| The timing is what GH alluded to when BM's leaving was announced. There was probably a lot of pressure on Sinfield to take it up as well - given the chance he would surely have preferred an orderly take over in the off season with no pressure.
The biggest issue is that it feels like Lowes was only brought into the mix very late. If he's come into things whilst being told he'll be replaced by a shiny new coach next year, that puts him in a very difficult spot as well.
Regardless, if I was Sinfield I'd think about having someone like Tony Smith to at least come in to help as an advisor - not so much on matchdays but in training and helping to work out how best to fix things in the short term. Right now it really doesn't look as though the players are willing or able to do much better under the new setup.

| We certainly haven't seen the bounce you normally get with a new coach. I'm pretty sure that the current set up will only last 7 more games then there will be further changes.

| Both Sinfield and Lowes are totally out of their depth. Both being asked to fulfil roles that they are not up to. Another Hetherington cock up.

| My issue with Lowes is that whilst some people might not like him, he may have been given a pretty thankless task - do your best for these few games but then move aside for the guy we actually want. Assuming that's the case that's really hard on him as well. That's why I thought someone like Smith might have been better, as he would probably not have been bothered by it being a short term arrangement.

| Maybe Sinfield and Peacock didn`t coach the team after all when they were playing!
Peacock hasn`t done too well at HKR and Sinfield has the worse win played ratio than most.
Whatever the reason for getting rid of McDermott either he refused to coach under Sinfield or GH sacked him too early is all irrelevant now.
The worry for me is Sinfield said the team had prepared well before the Wire game and would improve.
When in fact we looked worse than ever.
The only thing we need to do is stay up and then recruit 4 or 5 very good signings and get a coach such as Demitreu.
Furner would be ok but yet another who has links with the club.

| according to kevin the attitude was frankly crap, and everything was sloppy and slipshod. standards had dropped off the pitch and that reflected on it. if true there was only one person to blame. the coach at the time

Difficult to argue against that - standards on the pitch has dropped alarmingly
