I had an appointment with a client in Darlington at 10am this morning, it lasted half an hour.

I then decided to come home via a circuitous route involving the North York Moors, Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay - have just got home after spending three hours sitting on the beach at Robin Hoods Bay answering emails on my blackberry while trying to keep up the pretence that I was sat in my office at home.

Nearly blew it when I was on the phone to one of our directors and a frikking ice cream van started playing popeye the sailorman right next to me, I made a crackling noise and hung up then rang back five minutes later explaining that I was in a bad reception area and was the ice cream van noise at his end ?

PS - yes I know you don't go via Whitby to get back to Leeds

PPS - My bonce is a cracking shade of red now.

Having been to Whitehall and back on the train I thought that was bad enough but then I got my train home (Leeds to Skipton). Northern Rail seem to have decided to stop putting the airconditioning on because there's an obvious need for it. Most of the windows you can't open so the train was like a cylinder of super-heated air. I was amazed nobody fainted.

How do you get the kids in and out of the classroom?

Quote: El Diablo "Not so bad now. Went running at dinner time though, took me about an hour to stop sweating afterwards, even with a nice cold shower. Thought I'd share that. If a bunch of grown men and women can't share their sweat with each other, I don't know what the world's coming to.'"

Went running yesterday evening and was sweating cobs meaning my skin, shorts and vest were soaking wet. By the time I'd stopped I was like human fly paper with seemingly loads of the little buggers stuck to me.
