| Newman definitely making his debut by sounds of twitter, I'm unsure whether Walker is playing.

| Bit of a double edged sword for me this one.
I can see the reasoning behind the clubs thinking...resting lots of the players for the semi next week (but even that's not guaranteed to work as over the years we seem to have done best when playing full strength week in week out and look at this year. IIRC we rested several for a CC cup and then we were extremely flat the week after against Huddersfield) but then IF the tactic works and we go on to beat Hull and then go on to lift the CC, look at how that has affected us in years gone by where we have struggled to win games post Wembley and IF that were to happen again, we have then lost the extra 2 point buffer we could have had if sending out a full strength team to beat a low on confidence Wigan and then we MIGHT end up having a fight to hang on to our top 4 place and could find ourselves wishing we'd had those 2 extra league points
The proof will be in the pudding as they say

| I know nothing about him, but I hope Alex Sutcliffe gets a game after being 18th man a few times.
It will be very interesting to see if Walker gets picked. TBH if the club has his interest at heart he should probably be left out if they think he's going to take stick from the crowd.

I agree. As much as I'd like him to play, I'd worry about what the crowd would be shouting at him. 17 is very young to be put under that fire

Well, if he's old enough to be dictating to the club where he wants to play then he can handle some stick from the crowd.
He needs to learn.

| I think he'll catch some stick but I don't think it'll be the pitchfork and flaming torches that most people are predicting.
I hope not anyway.

I think Leeds are saying 'we've got number 2 spot and some big games coming up ,some player are carrying knocks which they normally have played with'

With it being an away game it probably won't be too bad. If we were at home might be a different story. Our next home game is likely to be week 1 of the 8's and if the starting backs make if through the cup game unscathed then he won't be picked I imagine.

So having lots of injuries is now known as being in "Wane's World"
Wow.

| Under duress I am going tomorrow. I can think of a few hypothetical scenarios behind walker's non signing, however would hope he gets no stick. He is 17 and it will hurt a young weak team away against the side with the best players in the league, IMO. Obviously they have had loads of injuries and not played well but on paper their best 17 are better than anyone else, in my view.
Would hope Leeds fans encourage walker to sign the deal as best approach for both the kid, the team on the night and the club in general. An imaginative song like walker, walker sign the deal, walker sign the deal etc, assuming he plays which I doubt.

| Heard Alex Sutcliffe starting at centre tomorrow. My guess is that Walker is not playing as Newman is also playing tomorrow.

| Watching wire v Widnes. Phil Clarke "the greatest skill in rugby league is holding onto the ball in the tackle". Add in o'connor' rambling gibberish, Cummins nonsense and captain hair dye. They make Barrie Mac sound like jack Gibson

| Its a dead rubber. The result matters not one iota.
The experience is invaluable however.
