| I was surprised that George Williams didn't have a referal to the disciplinary with his use of his knees in the Hanley try,but the diciplinary referal procedure leaves alot to be desired.

Also if the ref is going to penalise every player who walks off the mark (and I think he should) then there'll be another 10 penalties a game.
While were at it he should penalise every play the ball that is not with the foot, it's becoming a farce with the holy grail of a fast p.t.b.

And just to add from Fridays match Leeds had more cases reviewed by the match review panel than Wigan.'"
Well at least Burrow wouldn't have succeeded in a head tackle Rogues .Honest question does anyone know how Danny McGuire got his black eyes?

Divine retribution for a long-ago obstruction, as always.

Yes that was probably the early stages of Wigans 'dirty era' I'll never forget those Wigan players stood over him when he was clearly seriously injured

Indeed. Should've been an 8 point try. But the powers that be appear to want to consign that particular rule to history.

Possibly a hangover. Even some of the Wigan players after the GF must've thought Wane has pumped up players too much that it led to the Flower incident and that naturally would make you wonder.
They play Saints soon in the Good Friday game.....I think that could really show what Wigan have left under Wane. Regardless of the result, if they perform like the Wane Wigan of old (like Magic weekend last year) then you think their's still something there and it could kick start their season.....if they perform a bit like last week and other times this year's where they just don't seem to be delivering Wane's usual desired intensity in games then serious alarm bells will be ringing.

| I've seen a lot of talk about Magic Weekend last year being some great Wigan performance. But it wasn't really. Leeds were pretty poor, had a couple of tries narrowly disallowed, Sinfield's kicking boots weren't on, it was 3 tries to 3, and for all the hype about Wigan's injuries Leeds were missing Watkins, Briscoe, Burrow, Aiton and JJB and were plaing Chris Clarkson at hooker.

This is all true, but I think that psychologically Wigan dealt a massive blow to Leeds in that game, even though we only lost narrowly and had a few key names out. Our league form certainly wasn't maintained afterwards in any consistent way, and our cup performances became focused on a more negative style of game plan of grinding out wins.

| Interesting to hear Wane say that Ben Flower comes straight back into his side when he's available, despite it still being three weeks away.
There's a ringing endorsement to the current Wigan front row and a cracking piece of man management by Wane.
"Doesn't matter how you do in the next three weeks fellas. You could all have stormers, but one of you is going to have to give way to the bloke who cost you a SL winner's ring and hasn't played since."

One of our most disappointing performances of 2014 for me. There was only one way Wigan were going to approach that game given their circumstances and they did precisely that. We should have beaten them as comprehensively as we did last week but for some reason our players seemed shocked when wigan played with the aggression they did. I usually go fairly easy on McDermott but that was one game for which the players seemed criminally underprepared.
