Ridiculous. Interesting to see if the other 2 have been equally disrupted.. having said that, we're good at night games.. its the early ones we're not, and Farke needs to find a solution to that sharpish. Not sure mate but think I read Burnleys game has been moved and will give them several hours more to recover so I would reckon we have the worse deal yet again.

2 more games chosen for Sky. Oxford away GF and Stoke at home EM. To make matters worse the Oxford game will now kick off at 8pm instead of 3 pm. The Stoke game remains a 3 pm kick off. So Good Friday the team will arrive back early hours Saturday with a quick turnaround for the Monday game.
I’m not sure a club like Leeds are remunerated fairly for potentially having their season jeopardised by ridiculous kick off times. All clubs get a relatively small amount from Sky for rights to televise their games, and I just looked at some figures from January 2023 regarding how much clubs then got for being chosen as a televised game. For an away team it’s hardly worth it….£10,000. The home team fares better, up to £100,000 per game depending on the time slot. But even then, if they choose you for a Friday night home fixture your money is dropped because of the time slot and what if you’ve just played not long before that ? I don’t know if Leeds have a say in payments or have voted against such low amounts, but obviously the rest of the clubs have, I assume by a majority, agreed the deal. Have all these televised matches impacted our season negatively ? there’s a case to be put. Let’s hope it doesn’t define our season come May.

No it wont - Leeds are by far the biggest TV draw in the Championship. As such they have been unfairly treated by TV with early kick offs especially away from home.
In PL they will not be the draw the two clubs in Manchester are, Liverpool, Arsenal, Newcastle etc.
er, I agreed with you....

| but..... last 3 seasons in the Premier league we were on sky as much as these teams simply because we attract huge viewing figures. and that's all sky are interested in.

| I really hate these international breaks at such an important time of the season. Although I see Joseph got another goal and won high praise from the Spanish press.

Big city equidistant from Manchester and Sheffield and nothing else close - Newcastle in the north and Birmingham in the south. Huge catchment area - no competition for fans Kinnear suggested Leeds are 7th biggest club in England in terms of selling jerseys. There is the legacy from the Revie era when Leeds had one of the best club sides in Europe.
Indeed, the reach of the fanbase is huge across the North and there's plenty of fans further south too. Ive been of the opinion that the reason Leeds do so well in television viewership isn't just the Leeds fanbase, its the other teams who despise Leeds and want "anyone but Leeds" to prevail. This is also a hang over from the Revie era I reckon, its culturally imbedded across the country that everyone outside of the fanbase or local area "hates" Leeds.
