Come back when you have a quarter of the honours won by the most famous Rugby Club in the world.'"
That would be why he's qualified to comment now then.
Quote: Rogues Gallery "What did Sinfield say tonight. Leeds had gone thirty something years without winning a major trophy.'"
He spoke the truth. He didn't say what you just put.
Quote: Rogues Gallery "That will never be said about Wigan.'"
Judging by the honours page you've linked to how many Championships did Wigan win between 1960 and 1987? Not quite the 32 years Sinfield spoke of but close enough to put your 'never' comment in perspective.
In terms of the Championship it's currently another 11 years and counting and despite good league form so far, the play-offs haven't even begun yet let alone concluded and while you perhaps have already decided the outcome, losses already this season to St Helens, Warrington and even Leeds shows it's still all to play for and that will be on the night.

| Leeds have been remarkable underachievers throughout our history. That is undeniable. Why that has any relevance to this season or the last 10 years I've no idea.
What is interesting is that after a fair few years in the wilderness, Wigan appear to be well and truly on course to challenge for major honours again. A great thing in itself. Sadly its also bringing out the Wigan fans who seem to assume that the last 10 years or so have somehow been a blip between periods of absolute Wigan dominance.
Back on topic, I do hope that Ablett's ban signals that the Disciplinary is going to get tougher (and more consistent) on foul play generally. Whilst Nathan Brown's comments earlier this year came across as a bit hysterical, his basic point about thuggish play (particularly directed at playmakers) being more tolerated in SL than the NRL is correct.

Or when Senior kicks out in the tackle, or Bailey leads with the knees... or any kind of dirty play really.
Thought it went without saying, but obviously not.

And as a big city we have other sporting teams that vie for the publics attention, Leeds Utd, Leeds Carnegie, Hunslet, Bramley, and Farsley Celtic (when solvent)among others. Plus the small matter of just because you live in Leeds, doesnt mean you support Leeds.

End of discussion, lets face it, none of us would even go there if they didn't have a rugby team.

That's fair enough, but I think the topic's run it's course now and we should just let it drop.

Very dissapointing in fact
First off the initial commentators are totally inaccurate describing it as a "late tackle" .. what a laugh it coudnt be late. Tomkons caught the ball Ablett was perfectly entitled to tackle him.
The old ref isnt any better describing it as an "elbow to the face" again totally inaccurate.
Ganson was perfectly correct in putting it on report and the charge which was also correct as it was a reckless tackle and the forearm came in contact with the head but not deliberate and without malice.
Grow up son you really must do better 3/10
