| It is but its not in the same league as Man Utd, Man City, Liverpool, Arsenal etc
As a mid table team they wont attract the same interest in the PL as a top side in the Championship. If they are relegation fodder zero interest.
If Sheffield Utd/Burnley and the teams promoted this time are anything to go by it will be tough in the PL
Hopefully they can reset over the next two weeks and regain some confidence/belief for the run in.

Yeah won't be as bad Sal. agree. Though we are very popular to televise games as the fan base is huge.
I can’t understand how Leeds have become such a massive club. I remember sitting in the lowest league crowd ever at Elland Road in the mid 80’s, around 8000, and would never have dreamt that having won only one trophy in 50 years we would be selling the same stadium out ever week in the same division. Although it was thought hooliganism damaged the club at certain times, I think it gave a certain edge to supporting Leeds, and along with our historical reputation for being dirty it made us something of a niche and attractive club to a lot of people. Although the support base has changed somewhat, the numbers we get through the gate are phenomenal.

| Yeah, there's just something very special about the club and supporting it... it's also a big city with one team which is the financial capital of the north, we have also a rich history from the past... think it's a combination of it all.

| 2 more games chosen for Sky. Oxford away GF and Stoke at home EM. To make matters worse the Oxford game will now kick off at 8pm instead of 3 pm. The Stoke game remains a 3 pm kick off. So Good Friday the team will arrive back early hours Saturday with a quick turnaround for the Monday game.

| Ridiculous. Interesting to see if the other 2 have been equally disrupted.. having said that, we're good at night games.. its the early ones we're not, and Farke needs to find a solution to that sharpish.

| Big city equidistant from Manchester and Sheffield and nothing else close - Newcastle in the north and Birmingham in the south. Huge catchment area - no competition for fans
Kinnear suggested Leeds are 7th biggest club in England in terms of selling jerseys.
There is the legacy from the Revie era when Leeds had one of the best club sides in Europe.

Not sure mate but think I read Burnleys game has been moved and will give them several hours more to recover so I would reckon we have the worse deal yet again.

I’m not sure a club like Leeds are remunerated fairly for potentially having their season jeopardised by ridiculous kick off times. All clubs get a relatively small amount from Sky for rights to televise their games, and I just looked at some figures from January 2023 regarding how much clubs then got for being chosen as a televised game. For an away team it’s hardly worth it….£10,000. The home team fares better, up to £100,000 per game depending on the time slot. But even then, if they choose you for a Friday night home fixture your money is dropped because of the time slot and what if you’ve just played not long before that ? I don’t know if Leeds have a say in payments or have voted against such low amounts, but obviously the rest of the clubs have, I assume by a majority, agreed the deal. Have all these televised matches impacted our season negatively ? there’s a case to be put. Let’s hope it doesn’t define our season come May.
