Without reading too much into Cuthbertson stepping down as women's coach , but maybe that's the first movement Leeds trying to offload him to open up another quota spot. Just read in YEP that he's doing a sports directorship in Salford university maybe Leeds let him go to a club like Salford and just say we'll pay his wages or a part of them so that it free's another quota spot. I can see either Cuthbertson or Lui getting forced out to bring in Jai Field and a overseas prop.

Agree but I think Cuthbo might be retiring he's 35 in a couple of weeks and injuries haven't been doing him any good in the past 2 seasons.

How does the salary cap deal with player retirements?

I was more thinking that if someone was to "retire" and take another position in the organisation that happens to pay the same salary, how does the cap scrutinise this?
