| Quote Mark Laurie="Mark Laurie"I’m struggling to understand what the plan is if we are getting in Napoleon and Ava whoever. Why lose garbutt and even release mullally to bring in projects. It all looks random to me.
Think PNG players may be
Exempt from quota'"
Wellington Boot is excempt from all quota rules due to special measures agreed for taking on players from clubs in administratio.
On your other point i tend to agree, Garbutt (when fit and on the pitch) better than anything we are currently bringing in. I too cannot understand the Wellington boot signing, other than he is dirt cheap. Like any PNG player he can be aggressive going forward and is strong and i seem to recall he has an offload, but Widnes fans saying he cannot defend for toffee......so he should fit in well then

| Quote Jrrhino="Jrrhino"If we bring in Seumanufagai doesn't that mean one of our current overseas players has to leave since we already have 5 with Lolohea,Cuthbertson, Parcell, Merrin and Peteru and will have 7 NFT with 5 above plus Hurrell and Albert?'"
No, Cuthbertson NFT, Hurrell NFT, Lolohea NFT OQ, Merrin NFT OQ, Parcell NFT OQ, Peteru NFT OQ
Meaning we have one spot on both NFT and OQ quotas. Albert is exempt from both due to special circumstances, only for the length of his first contract.

| Wouldn't call Ava a project, well over 100 NRL first grade games, im a big fan of Garbutt so not going to say Ava's better, but his NRL pedigree is certainly better than Garbutts was when he came over. He got injured in a trial last weekend though, read he was out for 6 week. Alberts a very good athlete at his size with agression and an offload, can see why a coach would want to have a look, see if he can be coached up, not on the quota and cheap as chips.

| Absolutely. Great young player. Although, it would be a gamble given his recent injury record.

| If we're looking at some or all of those mentioned it says a lot about Furner's view of his current choices.

| With Ava’s three year wedge deal I don’t think we’d have enough to take him under the cap. However least Wellington Albert is well worth it if his rumoured 10k per season deal at Widnes is true.

| 10k per season is virtually immoral for someone in this line of work. Is it even minimum wage?

| Don't think so? Surely minimum wage is around 12k?

That would be an absolute no brainer for anyone. One of the top forwards in our comp before leaving. If fit could be incredible.
