| Quote: Fat Boy "Maybe a more suitable criteria is needed to determine the greater player.
For example the pinnacle of the sport is a GF winners ring, the next would be Challenge Cup winner medal, then World Player of the Year and so on…
So…
GF Ring
From my reckoning Fielden would be the most succesful prop in SL with 95 points.
4 GF, 2CC,4LL, 3WCC, 2DT
If I have got my stats right (TVOC please correct me) the top 4 players in SL history would be:
Paul Wellens 149 pts with 4GF, 6CC, 5LL, 2WCC, 1MOS, 3LT, 3DT, 1HS
Kieron Cunningham 148 pts with 4GF, 7CC, 2WCC, 6DT, 6LL
Jamie Peacock 146 pts with 7GF, 2CC, 4WCC, 7DT, 4LL, 1MOS
Sean Long 145 with 4GF, 6CC, 5LL, 2WCC, 2DT, 1MOS, 3LT, 2DT
Surprised to see Wellens come top, however as he shared 1 of his Lance Todd trophies with Leon Pryce there could be an argument for a 2pt deduction giving KC top spot.
Notable others:
Andy Farrell 108pts (includes pre SL trophies)
Paul Sculthorpe 126pts
James Graham 71pts
James Lowes 71 pts
Danny McGuire 74pts
Rob Burrow 84pts
Keith Senior 78pts
Leon Pryce 135pts

| Boxing hasn't been a required skill for a prop forward since the early 1980's. Perhaps Radford should invent a time machine and travel back to say, 1972. I'm sure he wouldn't even have to ask anyone to put him on his 'arris, it would happen to the obnoxious, thick c**k every week wether he wanted it or not.
"Dear Mr Mills,
I am having a testimonial saeson and would like someone to box as part of my fund raising effort. Would you be kind enough to meet me in a ring in Hull for some light hearted fisticuffs in the name of a good cause".
"Dear Mr Radford,
While I appreciate that us RL players all have to make a living, I live in beautiful Widnes, so you would understand my reluctance to travel all the way over to that $hithole on the East Coast just to put money in your back pocket. However, I have made a note of your name and the next time I see it on an opposition team sheet I will be sure to knock you out at the first opportunity. I've passed your name around to some of my other front row colleagues who have all said that even though you are a no-name soft-cock they will also take the time to knock you out as well. I hope this is satisfactory".
Having said that if he lives in Hull a time machine would really be needed to transport him to the present.

Did he make Hauraki play the ball so he could punch him while he's bent over?

Why should he have to ?
He's a professional rugby player not a professional boxer, not even an amateur boxer and as anyone who knows anything about boxing will tell you, theres a lot of damage that can be done in an amateur boxing ring, its not the place for playing around or settling some imaginary scores.
To think that there is some imaginary grudge between Radford and Bailey that needs settling in a boxing ring is naivety at best, dumb stupidity from a baying mob at worst, Bailey is one of the best in SL at winding up opposition players and earning penalties for his team while doing so, and in doing so giving away very few penalties in the process, he played an absolute blinder the last time the two players met which resulted in Radford losing one of the most important games of the season for and on behalf of his team in the most glorious of numbnut stylees - classic Bailey.
To want to have a fight on your testimonial evening tells us all everything about the mentality of this player.

Almost compulsory, they even seem to have found a way to run a fundraising event by having a fight
Presumably if Radford had lost they would have had a woman standing by to climb in the ring with a stiletto shoe and a broken arm to adjudicate ?

your last two remarks about lee radford prooves you know nothing about the guy and what he has done when organising these boxing matches, one was for raising money for the steve prescott foundation that steve was truely greatfull for
no doubt you all run around dancing with flowers in your hair and throwing petals on the streets of leeds on night outs!

I saw all I need to see of the guy when I went to watch a mates son beat Radford's charges whilst playing for West Bowling and he refused to shake hands at the end of the game. Kudos on the fund-raising but he's a sore loser!

You're absolutely right you know, I don't know the guy personally at all.
However I have to say that his public persona seems to be of the sort of person I'd try my best to avoid should I ever have the misfortune to be in the same room, the sort of person who can be deliberately wound up to the point where he forgets where he is and why he is there, forgets all about the ethos of "team" and what that team has worked hard at achieving for the past nine months, and starts throwing his fists around at a person who is in no position to defend himself at that moment.
Sounds like a great guy, solid bloke, "What do you want as the culmination of your testimonial year Lee ?"
"A fight please".
