| Just noticed I missed his medal and the match shirt (maybe he is expecting the suspended part of the fine to kick in after Sunday)

| According to the YEP onlineThe panel said it took into consideration Senior's previous good record during a lengthy career, his admission of guilt and public apology, but felt a fine was appropriate given that it was a personal attack on the referee's character, rather than a criticism of a decision by the referee.[/i
He'll know what to restrict his comments to next time then.
And while on the subject of referee appointments the YEP askAs the Super League referees are all professional, they should, in theory, be of an equal standard and, therefore, it shouldn't make any difference who takes charge of which game. So why not have a draw every Monday to decide the following weekend's appointments? [/i
What makes anyone think Cummings has a different system in place.

If it were truely random, then we'd get instances of an official refereeing consecutive matches for a team during the regular season and more instances of referees being appointed to referee their home-town teams.

I think a weekly random draw would be problematic as it could cause all sorts of issues in terms of ref's getting the same side again over several weeks and also lets say, one of them travelling back and forth to France for a few weeks on the trot. However, I quite like the idea of Cummings putting together a 'rota' so that he decides and publishes the ref appointments for the whole of the following month, rather than on a week by week basis! Obviously, he should be allowed to change them if sickness of personal circumstances mean a change, but in most cases it should remain unchanged?

No, no, no, no.
That would give all our opponents far too much time to prepare a dossier to go through with the ref the week before they play us.

Time to get a siege mentality going.'"

I like the way it has now become a 'dossier' rather than just a video!

| how come referees get so much protection?
cummings defends them no matter how bad a performance they put in and when a player or coach speaks critically about them they are fined.
I know refereeing is extremley tough but why is it such a taboo to say ''ref, you had a stinker''.
