| Shoulda coulda woulda.
Short of us finishing in next to last place he will stay I think.
If we reach above 8th it will be the usual backslapping congrats/ paper over the cracks regarding performances.
The start of the season has been pretty woeful, with lots of call back behaviour/antics that were so dysfunctional last year.
Fingers crossed we start to string some wins together, will only get harder

| Sorry but beating Hull , London and Cas will not satisfy most of us , we need to win at least one of the other three

| Tactics or whatever, we need to have spent this time off genuinely trying to fix up what's going wrong. If we don't change the way we play we'll keep getting the same sort of results. I would have more faith that Rohan knows what he's doing even if we lose against Hudds if it looks like some of the issues we keep seeing seem to have been addressed, or at least improved.

| Quote: Jack Burton "So you make excuses for when we win, but don't accept them when we lose? That doesn't seem logically consistent.
The point was that the timing of when a coach is hired, is just as important as who the coach is.
Powell was the right coach in 2002, but he wasn't in 2004. McClennen was the right man in 2008 to take over fromTS, but it was time for a change when McDermott came in.
Millward was great at Saints, but terrible at Wigan. Tim Sheens is one of the greatest coaches of all time at Canberra and initially at Wests, but was poor at KR. Tony Smith was superb at Leeds and Warrington, and good at KR, but Hull have been dreadful with him in charge. Does that make them bad coaches, or are they the wrong coach at the wrong time?
Tony Smith had all the tools in the bag at Wire but still could not get a Grand Final victory .
At the moment I would say his Nephew is a poor coach because our tactics are dreadful and i see no improvement in any individuals
I'm very sceptical about RS, and I highly doubt he's the right coach for where we are now, as a club, but I definitely don't think he's a bad coach.'"

| Listening to GH’s interview with sky, he clearly sees our current state very differently to most of us. Apparently all the indicators on his dashboard look positive including our best crop of young players for 20 years, apparently we should have a good team in 3-5 years.
He made it clear he has no intention of retiring.
We are heading for an 8th year out of 9 in finishing outside the top 4. I said it last year and will say it again he is way past his sell by date and Caddick needs to get him to stand down. .Sainst and Wigan would have got shut years ago.
There is no plan or idea on how we may replace Smith if this season is another disappointment.
We will hear more tripe about a worldwide search, if Smith fails GH should go.

That GH interview has filled me with dread, despair and being honest with Sky now showing all SL matches what’s the point in spending £300 on a season ticket.
Hetherington is very bad news for Leeds

Actually, I thought Warrington are playing close to the style Smith wants Leeds to play. It will be interesting to see how far they can ride their current form.
Burgess was a risky appointment IMO, and it's still too early to see if he's a good long-term appointment, but the signs are surely good right now. Don't forget Smith also turned Leeds around from one of the bottom sides to grand finallists in his first few months.

| The intake of players at leeds is OK not great but ok . It's the way they are been told to play that's the problem.

| Most of Warrington's best players were signed before Burgess arrived.
Williams is class right now. Would still rather have Miller than Dufty...

| I was just chuckling to myself, there’s a regular contributor on here that has said a couple of times in Smith’s defence something like “well would you want an Ian Watson style of rugby ?”. A somewhat pertinent question when you consider the recent form of both Leeds and Huddersfield and their upcoming clash. Huddersfield have given out a fair few spankings to teams this season whereas Leeds haven’t spanked anybody. I’m interested rather looking forward to Fridays clash, and I might have an answer to said contributors question by about 10pm Friday night. I just hope it’s for the right reasons.

Absolutely owl.
I got accused of preferring an Ian Watson style of play because I want to see structure and discipline.
Funny that.
I actually tipped Hudds to really struggle this year.
I was wrong.

| Hudds are well drilled. Watson is a coach I have great respect for.
But then they have this xfactor Tongan half back. Is a bit robust but can make any pass or kick!
