| I think when a thread has run its course as this one obviously has ,some have their opinions and others the opposite and ne'er the twain shall meet. The Mods should say enough and close it before it just becomes another slanging match

Having a lengthy argument with Smokey is like wrestling a pig in mud. After a while you start to realise the pig is enjoying it.

- Smokey and a Giants fan don't believe the LLS should be given any extra significance when won as part of the treble or under the new league structure (and have kind of explained why they feel this way)
'" just to be clear i do believe the LLS should be given extra significance when won as part of a treble and i think it is far harder to win a treble. I just dont think its harder on its own to win the LLS.

| Is it reasonable to think GH consulted senior players on how the dressing room would accept him?
If it is then they have clearly shown their support and we have signed a very good player who will add many good qualities to an already talented squad.
If not then there is an element of risk. No matter how good the player if he is shunned it will impact his ability to settle and his form. It could also impact other players form via disrupting morale.
My totally uneducated guess is senior players were involved and are supportive.
Our job as fans is now that he has signed to support him also.

I don't know who you think you are but you cannot just come on here and start talking about the thread subject, we are in the middle of a very important pishing contest about the LLS.
I personally cannot see the signing as a big issue, unless someone in the team is big mates with huby cannot imagine there will be too bothered. Everyone makes mistakes, hopefully he has learned but should be given a chance

Ryan Hall's tweet after the announcement...
"Great news about @BrettFerres11. I've played along side him for England and I'm looking forward to seeing him do it on a weekly basis #mot"
....which is surprising considering Hall is married so really should be living in constant fear now that Ferres will try it on with his wife......much like Cas players must be in fear of having new signing Joel Monaghan anywhere near their pet dogs.

I like the way you included the word 'pet' so as to avoid any confusion.

| Current players don't usually tweet when we make a new signing but with Ferres both Hall and Hardaker welcomed him to the club via Twitter.

| The paranoia about Ferres is ridiculous. I can only imagine what some of you are thinking when your missus' go out! Zak Hardaker should be more of a concern than Brett Ferres. Loose cannon.

I don't think anyone is or has suggested ferres is literally going to run around knobbing all the wives. I'm sure the whole experience has been very painful for his family and something he regrets so stop trying to point score with your snide comments.
The concern is whether in the bubble that is professional sports teams there is any kind of long lasting issue with what ferres has done. We are not talking some office flirting gone wrong or whatever this is something that has had media attention and warranted severe enough to force him (him being an international no less) out of his current club.
As fans, and as with all signings, we have a right to speculate on how the player will fit into the dressing room, just check out the Falloon thread.

"long lasting issue." No, no there isn't. Because the only issue in reality is between the two families. Some comments on here wouldn't look out of place on Jeremy Kyle or Loose Women. Jesus, man up! It's life, s**t happens, move on. And if it doesn't concern you, don't worry about it!!
