982.jpg [quote:1pqtnbtj]Every player in our squad could probably earn more money with another club. But they prefer to sacrifice a few extra quid in their back pocket to share special memories. And playing at a place like Old Trafford on a night like this makes it all worthwhile.[/quote:1pqtnbtj]

| Excellent find TMR. Now, let's re-visit what TVOC claimed Noble had actually inferred.
"acceded to Sinfield's wish to only play in a certain position. Even Brian Noble as far back as 2003 inferred this was being put to him by Sinfield at International level - so he didnt select him in 2004 as a consequence."
Giving Noble the benefit of the doubt with his desperate attempts to justify his non selection of a player from "them s" can anyone infer from that Noble quote that Sinfield expressed a wish to "only play in a certain position"?
By the way, the preceeding weekend, Sinfield had just played Stand off in the GF win. The article itself talks about Sinfield's preferred position (loose forward) and his alternate position (stand off)

Gary Seems to do some massive back pedaling in this interview for sky sports
Obviously he has missed out on his "marquee" signing...and seems to be telling us don't expect anything major in the next year
I really think we should be aiming to be alot more consistent next year and challenge for the League Leaders shield...we will need some quality to add to the depth to our squad, one of the main problems we have had in the last two seasons is injurys and having not enough cover to keep up the season long challenge

86.jpg Let all the doubters keep doubting and those who believe keep believing.
We’re only interested in those in the bubble. Anyone who wants to come in the bubble, you can come in.
But you’ve got to keep believing.:86.jpg |

icons077e_files/5454-3678dentheman-msnicons.jpg Your job is to say to yourself on a job interview does the hiring manager likes me or not. If you aren't a particular manager's cup of tea, you haven't failed -- you've dodged a bullet.:icons077e_files/5454-3678dentheman-msnicons.jpg |

He said he was looking for players that would selected in the starting 13 - he said we have depth but need more quality or something along those lines.

| Trouble is Sal he has been saying that for a few years now and we are still waiting for these big signings to come.
Our squad is pretty thin for next year and I would say we could do with a further 3 or 4 more signings especially if Kirke and McShane do leave.

I would disagree mate with the likes of Singleton ,Keinhorst ,Hood ,Clarkson and Achurch pushing for more regular spots the imminent arrival of Lunt IF Mcshane departs i'd be happy with 1 more which imo should be a sh##-hose Prop.

I agree but think we only need 1/2 quality signings (excluding Lunt)) to augment players like Singleton being given a chance. I think a quality centre and a no nonsence prop would make a big difference. I see that Manchester/Salford press are again linking us to Joel Moon and saying there are developments with him joining us.

| I wouldn't class Moon as a "big name quality signing" don't get me wrong he's seemed decent when i've seen him but is he tthat way ahead of Ablett and good enough to block Keinhorst for a couple of years??

I'm not classing Moon as a big name player but he is a quality centre and would improve the team (meeting GH's conditions). Ablett has played well as a centre but still prefers the second row. Keinhorst is only on a p/t contract and will be studying for his degree but will get his chance in a couple of years. I think he will be on a dual contract next year.

| Some interesting calls ahead especially with the dual reg deals because of the new U19 rules.
I just hope we rotate the older pack lads better this year because as good as it was to win the WCC and the GF i still dont see the point of JP and Kylie doing big minutes against Cas ,London and Widnes or even worse JP doing at least an hour ala Wigan at home when the game was clearly over.

You could argue that moon doesn't improve our first team and ablett is a better fit there. He has won his international cap and call up at centre, and has done well there regardless of his preferences, and be better served with a big forward

I agree with you we need a no nonsence experienced prop to assist Peacock and Kylie especially if Kirke leaves. Any ideas?

| I personally would have gone after Scott taylor mate and got TMFMISL back on the Prop rotation with Singleton.
I hope we keep Achurch at BR and Ward for me should push on for the 13 starting spot also if Moore is gonna be used a fringe player again id release him because i think its a waste (we've made a mistake keeping Kylie another year imo).
We also have Clarkson to consider who imo when he starts is still a usefull BR/LF at this level my 1st choice pack next year if we dont recruit but still release Kirke would be...
Bailey
Mcshane/Lunt/Burrow
Griffin
Jjb
Delaney
Ward
JP/Kylie
Achurch
Singleton
Mcshane/Lunt/Burrow
Squad wise would still leave Clarkson ,Kylie/JP(on rotation) and Moore/Kirke if they stay also If we sign Moon of another centre we have Ablett to slot back into BR contention.

| I've [iheard[/i a board member at Leeds has told some staff their that there is a big name signing but they are holding the news close to their chest until the whole Leeds United takeover is finalised as they don't want it to take away from the Rhinos news! Probably a rumour and I won't believe anything until it's finalised
