what shape is Ferres in? he had let himself go a lot from the time we signed him to when he left and we never got anything like the quality international he was before he signed either so god knows what he has regressed to now given lock down and inactivity.

i guess its a matter of opinion; there are those that sit in the camp as ever of its a stop gap, needed experience in tough times etc... but i'm firmly in the camp of play the kids in these situations regardless so imo its a shake of the head news.

Ferres could barely train for 3 years, which was why he was so fat, when he was able to train again he got into much better condition. He looks even leaner in his Rhinos TV interview

More rose tinted sh!#* , he was useless when he was fit AND when he was carrying any injury. One of the worse signings of the last 15yrs not one performance proves otherwise.

Another so called poor man back in the fold. A complete waste of time, effort and money. We must be skint if we are re-employing players who was not good enough to hand them a contract when their last contract expired. With no scrums etc, he will be a walking penalty machine or re set the tackle count. We seem to be going backwards with our signings. Just been on the Wigan site, they are taking the pizz out of us signing Ferres.
We have coaches and senior players to help the kids, we don’t need overweight has been to show the kids.

I'm not sure Ferrers will even play a game for us. Probably here just in case we get more injuries. Can do a stint at prop if we are desperate, and was available.

I have no idea how good the kids waiting in the wings are, but maybe the club don't think they're ready to be thrown in for the amount of minutes each week that may be needed of a club in an injury crisis.

With the demands on forwards these days I'd rather youngsters started gradually getting time in a managed way. Throwing a kid in when they're not physically ready can be very detrimental

That said, I don't think Ferres is the answer to whatever question was asked
