A failed drugs test would not be described as a "breach of club rules".
When players fail a drugs test, there is a mandatory statement that they have to release that complies with UKAD guidance.
As such, I highly doubt he has failed a drugs test.

I have no knowledge of that but if he had failed a test I would have expected an rfl announcement not Cas saying breach of club rules and misses GF. I Hope your info is incorrect but stress I don't know.

Heard about 10 different scenarios now, the passing on team news to Leeds players seems a long time ago now (and always seemed far fetched anyway). It'll have been the last course of action Cas officials will have wanted to make this week of all week though so they really must not have been left with any other choice.

RFL saying nothing till after grand final. Probably not keen on it over shadowing the final beforehand.

The RFL have an article on team news and they mentioned Holmes and Hitchcox come into the 19 but make zero mention of who drops out. Zero footage of Hardaker in their GF promo debuted tonight.

Maybe they don't want the details announced just before the GF, not exactly the news you want for the sport on the eve of your GF.

I'm not sure they would have a choice. UKAD Regulations trump the RFL's preferred timetable.

Anyone know what the situation would be if a club imposed testing on a player with past form for recreational drug use...would they have any obligation to pass on results to ukad?
