Point taken Leeds did win the cup however while an increase was expectable 25% in 1 go is a bit much, bare in mind you won the cup in 1999 and finished a close 3rd but then lost 800 fans in 2000...

Results for 2004 can't really count for improved 2004 attendences directly as unless they significantly increased towards the end of the season to inflate the averages fans where there "before" the dominance so to speak, 2005 figures would be a more realistic comparison to 2004 dominance.

But as i said previously it is far from definitive and I don't believe it was purely a footballing issue, without asking every extra fan why they came its all speculation and regardless Leeds are still the torch bearers for SL attendances.

I know several teams will have United fans but I'll bet its more Rhino's than Hull or Cas. Nothing been forgotten, I've made no reference to Leeds Rhino's shirts at Old Trafford because I have not criticised their attendances nor their total number of fans, in fact I've said they are the torch bearers - at Old Tafford last year it was a Blue wash no doubt about who had/has most fans.

Some could then question just how much work in 2004 was as a result of Leeds United's demise, that it was the reason the Rhino's had such a significant push, however as I say the figures I used are what other people use rightly or wrongly - not me i might add, I was only showing them as why fans mention it, when in reality it is impossible to be accurate how much if any affect it actually had

I've thought for some time now that disciplinary action and the length of any ban depends on whether or not the 'incident' was during a live Sky game and how the commentators react to the 'incident' which usually has a direct corrolation to how much public outcry there is amongst RL fans to the 'incident'

I think Carl had no chance of reducing his ban such was the public outcry to the 'incident'

Personally I thought it was a bad challenge that probably looked a lot worse than it was and given that Ganson was in charge and how he's never afraid to show the red card,I said straight away to our group that he was going to get sent off.
