| Quote: Leeds_Luke "He wouldn't have got much game time, so it's a good decision for him. And a great addition for York.
But where does that leave us in cover? Edgell and Lumb for fullback, and Sinfield in the halves? Then we are back to half a team reshuffle if Frawley and Croft are both out?
Leeds must need the cap space for a big signing. There is no other logical reason to let him go.'"
Most clubs would be in team reshuffle territory if your fist choice halfbacks are out to be fair.

| Surprised and a bit sad he’s gone.
Not a great organiser but filled in at hooker and full back really well , to slow to play fullback now .
More money on salary cap available, I think it could be Sutton ?

| Maybe he’s decided to step down a league and out off the lime light due to the horrendous abuse he gets, from opposition fans so much so Police involved. I saw a ton of abuse aimed at him after the horrendous spear tackle against Wakefield, that somehow it was his fault/diving.

| Great signing for York, wouldn't have minded him at Leigh.

19722.gif Woody: Can I pour you a draft, Mr. Peterson?
Norm: A little early, isn't it Woody?
Woody: For a beer?
Norm: No, for stupid questions.:19722.gif |

| Good luck to him. I'm sorry to see him go. Always gave 100%. Terrible at halfback but transformed his Leeds career when he moved to Fullback and he became a crucial part of our attack. We looked a much better team when he was playing.

| Expected this really, he's going into the final stages of his career and wasn't going to be first choice in any position. In fact we have plenty of options to deploy without needing to sign a direct replacement, it's time Edgell and Co got their opportunities in case of injuries. It also helps to get a wedge off the cap and probably means we can now bring in that Prop that will be much more important than a reserve grade jack of all trades and master of none.
It's been a rollercoaster for Myler, with some great highs and some tough lows. I hope he enjoys the move and that people now leave him alone.

| He's been a great servant to the club in a difficult time, but turning 34 mid season it makes sense (as Batley points out), especially now that he's not first choice. He would have been great back-up for full-back, less so for the halves with Sinfield in the wings (and Johnson/Smith at a push).
Looking forward to seeing how the rest of the recruitment pans out.

| Interesting move.
Hopefully more incoming as we should still have cap space now.
I live in York so look forward to seeing him for the Knights.
Always gave his all for Leeds, in difficult times too.
Once a Rhino, always a Rhino.
Good luck Richie.

| Signed to replace DM but was never a creative halfback. Always better as a support running halfback so in many ways all of the criticism about him being a poor halfback is not justified imo. Moved to fullback where he joined the line and supported the break and he proved he can play.
A great move for him as he will play regularly in a good championship side adding valuable experience. Could be a great way to end his career. Best of wishes Richie, I have enjoyed having you at Headingley.
We now have the opportunity to A. Get the big prop in that we need and B. Give an opportunity to youngsters to prove themselves.
I understand concerns about cover but it is a salary cap sport and we can’t have it all ways. Plus it gives a chance to lower the average age of squad. I am sure we will be in a much better place for 2024!!

| Good luck to him. Got a load of stick for his personal life but was a real gentleman on the Melbourne trip. Made the effort to talk to fans which not everyone did.

| Some of the abuse he gets is pretty disgusting to be honest, his private life is absolutely nobodies business and I'm sure some of those people giving him stick lead less than perfect lives.

| I would guess it was more Mylers decision to go than the club clearing the way for a decent signing.
There`s no way we would have let Hooley go if Myler was in our plans to leave as well.
It does leave us short and I would expect a signing to be announced in the next few weeks.
