His wife went into labour during the Saints game (he chose to play on)
So he's on paternity leave.

| Can someone in the family stand look after Sangare's child for him so he can play on Friday?

Paternity leave??
Surely he can spare 80 minutes?
Or about 15 minutes in his case.

Would you say ‘fine I’ll come in’ if your wife and new baby needed you, and you were entitled to some leave from work to help out? If it was a playoff game maybe, but not for this no….

FWIW - yes I would.
But each to their own.
I find it strange that he was happy to play when she was going into labour, but isn't playing a week later.

Sounds like he’s not got any family over here at the moment hence why they’ve given him paternity leave.

Who said he wasn't happy to play this week? Sounds like Rohan made the decision for him. It's a great thing that the club are prepared to support players in this way and might well pay off the next time he comes to renegotiate his contract.

| Good on him and Rohan, you don't get these early days with a new born back. He would have to train through the week and be around the team for a good chunk of tomorrow so it's not just like he does his stint and he's off. Strange views that a dad would just keep working. Not to mention they won't have extended family here to support.

New baby with no family support over here, well personally im glad the club and Rohan are looking out for them tather than making them train and play this week. rRS seems big on olayer welfare and i think that’s great.
Same goes for Gannon, RS has saod theres no need to rush him back and they need to look at why he’s getting these knocks rather than just throwing him back out there.

| I find it very amusing that 81 minutes of rugby ago we were the worst team in the league and RS needs to go. Now we are challanging for the LLS and have one of the best squads in the business. I love this sport and its supporters ))

Don’t taint us all with that brush!
Few of us were saying that the effort performance was there v Hull and we’d come good. Agree was a worry vs Wire though as we were shocking for a season opener on Sky….

Well said. Agree completely. It'll also pay off in the way he trains and performs. Fully support the club's actions here. Well done all round.

Agreed, I think the manner of the Wanky defeat was bad. Hull we really should have beaten despite playing poorly and then we would have been 2/3 which would have been seen as a good start.
Tomorrow will be a good test as it is typical Leeds to beat Saints and then lose to Wakefield. We need to start showing some consistency in our performances and get some players into form i.e. Sezer, Myler, Austin.

When I played rugby at amateur level, fathers of young children would be desperate to play just to get out of the house for a couple of hours.
But I guess that professional sport is very different. He would need to be at the club for a considerable amount of time during the week preparing for the fixture, and his time is better spent bonding with his child at home and helping his wife.

We looked dire against Warrington. We showed potential against Hull, and we brought home the goods against Saints. The amount of progress the team made over those three weeks shows there is something there, and the squad is not as weak as people think.
I still think we are defensively weak in the spine, and need a little more weight in the pack. But we are showing that we have several players who know where the try line is and how to get there.

We’re a completely different beast than under Agar. I’m looking forward to watching games and making an effort to do so. That’s all I wanted really……
