Quote: doc-rhino "cummins can't be in top 100 surely , mainly walk ins from innes, godden and senior'"
Saw franny score won of the best tries ever in cup against Bradford. 90m side step from scrum and held off Newlove and a couple of others on the way to the line, think he was still only 18 looked a world beater in the making, but then regressed to good-average.

Disappointed it's not the "Has he got the legs on Daio Powell" version of the commentary.
But yes, obviously Cummins isn't really a candidate for the Hall of Fame but my point is, there are some people who are clear-cut and some who will end up being marginal. Barrie Mac falls into the latter criteria, Shoebottom, Brough etc aren't.

| Les Dyl was a great centre in the early, mid 70's, he was the most dangerous centre in the GB game and probably only Steve Rogers was a bigger threat in the world game. He could also score keiron cunningham style power tries from the play the ball, great partnership, with John Atkinson well deserved, just seen the video sad to see him looking poorly.
Arthur Clues had a party trick which involved him banging a metal bucket, I'll leave the rest to your imagination.
I was never a big Barrie Mac fan personally, thought he was too indisciplined and often a liability, however Murray generally got more out of him. Not saying he does not deserve a place in the hall of fame but as an old cynic I wonder if getting him bought into the concept early may mean he is more likely to act as MC every year at the awards dinner.
As for Cummins, he was a great club man at Leeds and in top 10 all time try scorers, ask Doug Laughton and Tony Smith what they think of him, it will be full of praise. He's a really good bloke, which I know personally from his time as Bradford coach.
Drawing up criteria for this must be a nightmare, but the one about playing internationals will mean the likes of Graham Eccles can't get in. We've had many better players but I've never seen anyone put more in week in, week out in a Leeds shirt. Nobody would be more deserving.

I dont think its playing full internationals to qualify Eric Harris played in something like a prime minister's team ,Keith Mclellan something similar. I agree though it should be on club consistent displays

| Certainly Mick Shoebottom and Alan Smith should enter the Hall of Fame. In my opinion Ray Batten should already be in and there are others too who qualify like Derek Hallas.
Very pleased that big Arthur Clues has finally been recognised. Just missed seeing him playing for Leeds but had many interesting chats with him. He has been highly rated by so many whose opinions I value and I would have loved to have seen him play. One of the true greats of rugby league.

| The no specific offer thing is strange. I guess it's to recognise former heroes whilst they're still alive, but also to allow some modern players to be added to keep current fans bought in.
I agree about Barrie, he was a decent player and a real character of the game, but I don't think he's one of the first who should have been added.

I agree ,but under the qualification criteria Derek Hallas doesn't get in he has 135 apps same with Ken Thornett 131 apps finest full back I have seen . Both played in our first championship win if that's not fame I dont know what is

| It had to be Rob this year, he was always going to be in there anyway, and he may not be around long enough to wait until 5 years retired.
Two MOM in grand finals "that Grand final try", in an already massive highlight real.
Senior, kev JP, Magsy, will all get added when their time is due. JP and Kev probably next year.
