Woody: For a beer?

| Quote: Biff Tannen "Wow devastating news. Was just talking to colleagues at work about this awful disease the other day after Doddie Wear was on SPOTY and saying how it is neglected for research due it being so rare then this.
Rob was pound for pound the toughest player i have ever seen on a rugby field so know he will fight this all the way.'"
Terrible news for Rob and his family.
I found Doddie's feature and his speech on SPOTY incredibly moving.
Tough fights ahead for both men and their loved ones.

| Best wishes to Rob Burrow and his family at what must be a deeply traumatic and devastating time.
FWIW Rob Burrow was one of the few that as the opposition, you needed to have a bad game and rarely did he have such. He tore Wigan to pieces and SL to pieces too, here’s hoping he gives MND the same treatment.

| This is dreadful news. Rob is one of my favourite players, even being a Hull fan.

If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.:icons39ad_files/4821-1859san_c-msnicons.jpg |

| I very rarely go to other boards, but just felt i had to wish Rob and his family all the best.. Fabulous player, and more importantly, always came across as a lovely bloke.

| Such sad news.
He's my wifes favourite player. On the 2008 World Cup tour we stayed in the same hotel as the players in Townsville and she asked of she could have a picture taken with him. He said "Yes come on, I'm just getting in the ice bath" The ice baths were wheelie bins and she had the photo taken with Rob Burrow in one and Gareth Hock in another with my missus between them.
I've met him a few times since at various England games and he's always took time to have a chat with fans of all clubs.
He's a true credit to himself, his family, Leeds Rhinos and the game in general.
I've just come in from "grandad duty" and my mrs has already donated to his fund, please all of you give something no matter how small.

| Stunned by this news.
As fans we almost see the players (often our heroes) as invincible. Rob has the fight of his life in front of him, and as someone who has first hand experience of life changing illness I’d encourage him to go do all the things he’s always wanted to do, there will be a time when he’s no longer able.
God bless you Robbie, you’ve got a huge RL family in your corner all pulling for you.

| This is sad news. I’m a hull fc fan and rob burrow is not only one of the best players I’ve seen but the toughest. I’m sure he will approach this in the same way as he played. Head on full tilt.. I’m not sure if he reads this but if he does he should contact Doddie Wier. He will point him in the right direction. All the best
