Off the back of a try we seem to get confidence for all of 5 mins and have some flowing attack. It all stops when Sutcliffe and Smith get the ball though. Ferres is a liability.
Sutcliffe would only get in at FB for me when Walker is injured.
Smith should only be used to rack up tackles.
Donaldson has to start.

So Hull KR have named an 18 man squad for Thursday. Some thought it might be allow them to add Parcell in late in the day so don't be surprised to see us follow that lead/name Lunt in the squad tomorrow.
I would hope if that is the case, we've got a top quality import half back lined up to take Watkins' wage and Parcell's quota spot.

For Watkins to rip up and walk away from the 2.5 year contract he had will have cost us a fair wedge.
It will certainly free up cash for 2020, but Watkins moving might not leave us much better off for the salary cap in 2019.

No idea what deal he will have left at Leeds but if the thinking is he has managed to bag himself a pay rise in Aus, there may be no "severance" payment at all. No severance and no transfer fee will have made the deal much more straightforward for all concerned.

Let's put it this way, in amongst all the othr decisions that have been made in the last year, I reckon if Ferres is retained that would be far and away the worst one. Given he has been made captain on various occasions and plays whenever he is fit might well suggest he'll be retained...

If we can show some grit and keep at Saints all game I’ll be happy. We could get walloped though.
The result probably hinges on what Saints dish up on the day rather than anything we do because they’re better than us in most positions.
We need Walker and Ward back on the park and fit.
