| Badly let down by senior players this year and badly let down by GH in terms of player replacement for a number of seasons. Thank you Brian, im sure you'll be back to haunt us.
Unless GH has someone lined up, the timing is abysmal. Maybe he should be red-carding himself whilst he's at it.

| Thanks for the memories Brian. Beating Wigan to win the GF and the treble has got to be my best moment in Club Rugby League. Then last season defeating Cas at OT without Sinfield and Peacock was a massive achievement. His ability to get teams peaking when it matters was second to none.
Only time will tell, but his successor has got a hard act to follow.

Do they? I was wondering when they'll announce it. Im wanting south stand seats. Interested to know how much they'll charge for them.
Oh and also - thanks for everything Brian.
Who's going to replace him? Betts? Freysenneu? Some Aussie no ones heard of? The Walker Bros? Furner?

| Surprised, but also not surprised. Something had to give in the end.
I'd like to join the others on this thread in thanking Brian for some truly tremendous times in the last few years.

| I think he should have left at the end of the season, whatever your thoughts on BM he has had a lot of success and sacking him now with no one else in place seems disrespectful and could do more harm than good at this critical stage

Agreed. They should have given him the same chance for a goodbye that Wigan are giving Wane. The timing suggests to me that there is a bit more to this than we're privy to via the media etc.

| Shocked!
My tip would be Jason Demetriou - has had success everywhere he's been since returning to Oz. Won a couple of comps as Head Coach of St George reserves, assistant coach with Cowboys when they won it, currently working under Bennet at Broncos and by all accounts doing the majority of field coaching. Would come relatively cheap too, which we know plays into GHs hands.
Those saying Hasler, please god no! Look at the state he left Manly and now the Bulldogs with his back ended contracts. Bulldog now favourites for wooden spoon for next 3 years because of cap management that he was responsible for. They're paying out nearly $1m a year to other clubs who've got players they needed to move on. Plus his brand of rugby is the most dreadful, dour type - completion rates is all he's interested in... No, no, no...

| The timing seem strange unless Hetherington has already lined up a replacement.
If not we could let you have Jamie Peacock ?
He's never seen at Craven Park so should have plenty of time to help out.

Wigan had a dip in form after Wane said he was going. I don't think we need a dip in form at the moment. Wait a minute, I think we may already have a dip in form !!!!!

Agreed. GH hasn't achieved what he has without that side to him. But i did think he would let BM go gracefully.
I'm not sure who is around who can motivate that rabble in the short term. Certainly not Lowes.
