Personally think it is the right decision to put Golding at FB over Walker.
I would have had Golding at FB for the GF too but not too upset Walker got the nod and played well on the night.
Golding holds the #1 shirt and maybe they will share the duties leading up to the Warrington game.

Goulding is not in the same league as walker Goulding enthusiastic but jack walker could be world class at fullback the sleeve does not often back down and he did with walker.

how did he back down? didnt Walker just accept the original contract that was offered in the end?

And to say Golding isn't in the same league as Walker is frankly laughable.
Both are still very young yet and both have alot to learn yet both at this stage of their careers are excellent prospects.
So let's not write one of them off yet hey?
And for the record it was Walker who backed down.

I'm sure as usual there was a few select posters on here invited into the boardroom to listen in to the contract negotiations to tell us exactly how it happened which almost inevitably portrays the club negatively.

Who know s what happened - Goulding is a very good prospect but Walker is potentially a once in a generation player. The gap in quality is huge and only those with blinkers on can't see that.

Is anyone else amazed how josh walters is still at the club? Im gutted seeing him on the team sheet even for a boxing day friendly.

re Walters not shown any real improvement yet but he as never let us down when called on. He his still only young, how quick are we to write of young players.
I like Golding and I am sure there is a place for him but Walker shows greater skill levels at this time, once again they are still very young and things can change.

Walters consitantly lets us down,he 's one of the worst defenders iv ever seen at the club, the ammount of tackles he falls off is laughable...and he's even worse ball in hand. He's 23 now and one of the worst players in superleague.

Agree 100% re walker and golding

He has gone backwards season on season since showing some early promise a few years back to the point he is barely championship standard imo. I think he has had long enough to show his worth and no way should he now be part of our squad or blocking the path of anyone else with true prospects. If he manages to carve out any kind of pro career moving forward from here he will have done well for me, poor player but will always have that moment from the GF 2015 so not all bad.

When he first broke into the team he was really quick, his main attribute. In trying to bulk him up he's lost that pace and his body shape now looks all wrong.
