Arguably Leeds' most expensive squad was that assembled for the eventually unsuccessful 2010 season. And IIRC even that one had enough space within it to add a returning Lee Smith mid-season.
IMO, to believe the current squad could be remotely close to the cap requires you also to believe the CEO to be suddenly excessively proflegate.

Well if Achurch was on a handsome wage then who knows. One thing we do know is that for the last several years we've been very good at keeping our squad together and not regularly losing guys to NRL or RU like Wigan for example so he must be doing something right to keep them, especially when most of them dislike the coach allegedly. |
