Id say that's been covered by many in the season predictions thread tbh mate.

| True, was just meaning as a reflection of the games at the weekend. Liking the look of Williams too.

| Quote: rollin thunder "good thing about that is a solid defense is a good foundation for attack, if we can keep a solid defense and sharpen up our attack then we are moving up. just to cut down and cheap handling eras will help to start with.'"
Having sorted both attack and defence from where they were last year at this very early stage of the season was probably a big ask. We're looking good on the defensive front and have clearly spent a lot of time on it, perhaps too much and not enough on attack.
If our attack does start clicking and producing it's going to look like us in 2015, not a structured style akin to Wigan or Saints. That play what you see style we produced in 2015 isn't easy and will take time to get back to, even in 2015 we only saw it in short bursts in games in the early part of the season. Whilst brief, that 10-15 minutes when we came from behind to take the lead vs Leigh looked more like the old version and what we want to do. Just have to produve it for longer in games. We are still getting to know our new hooker, our FB is inexperienced and McGuire is only just back in and will need march fitness so whilst the attack has been disappointing it has only been 2 games and patience may be needed.
Given the circumstances of what happened last year then getting League points early is important so wouldn't be surprised if they're taking a 'safe' approach early doors and trying to grind some wins out.

| Say what you like and it may be where we are but everyone knows that we need an organizer at either scrum half or stand off if we are going to compete for the top four . Wigan , Wire and Cas seem miles ahead of us at the moment

| Seems harsh on Carney to me.
I was kind of hoping JJB would be banned to force McDermott into changes. I'm not for one second saying JJB deserves dropping. For this week, I would go with:-
Golding
Briscoe Watkins Moon Hall
McGuire Burrow
Singleton Parcell Garbutt
Ormonroyd Ward
Sutcliffe
Cuthbertson Baldwinson Keinhorst Ablett (Rest JJB)
I would like to see Ormonroyd start. I think he could turn out to be a hidden gem and it would be nice for us to take an early look at him. I have not been too impressed with Briscoe either and would like to see Handley given some gametime but I am not convinced that will happen anytime soon.
Golding has been great defensively so far and hasn't made any mistakes but he currently offers nothing in attack. I would keep him at full back for the time being but I am still not convinced by him. His only potential replacement is Sutcliffe but i'd like to see Sutcliffe get some regular game time in at loose forward.

Not convinced by Sutcliffe being in the halves but now that McGuire is back lets finally see the combination that was planned for last year but we never really saw and see how they go. Still can't see him doing the 40 odd tackles in the middle as a loose forward, not without it having an effect on the running game people want to put him there for in the first place.
Briscoe needs a kick up the backside for me and Handley deserves a shot. Finding it harder and harder to leave Keinhorst out of a starting centre birth even when both the usual ones are fit.

If you think Leeds even have a chance of the top 4 you need to give your head a wobble lad

As pointed out above, my post doesn't even contain the word/letter "top" & "4".......so thanks for that pointless contribution.

FFS You, me and anyone else have no idea how Leeds will get on over the next 7 Months. It could be a good, bad or bl00dy awful season for us or you, depending on injuries and a thousand other factors including dumb luck. Top 4 is a possibility, though i suspect for most of us just avoiding middle 8's would be good progress.
Now I'm going to let it go this time, what with your lot doing SL proud over the weekend and all that. But don't come on here with your triumphalist BS, putting us down this early in the season again
