Giving 9 days notice shows total contempt by sky for supporters. '"
But 6 week ago they announced that games this week and next could change. They only announced TV games for 1st 5 weeks. So its not fair to say Sky have changed it with 9 days notice.

But Sky HAVE changed it with 9 days notice. There should always be a minimum time they should give fans, as they need to realise fans are TRAVELING to the game, at what point should those fans make arrangements? One would assume with less than 10 days to go, fans could start arranging days off, hotels, transport. Apparently not, and that is nonsense.
If they want to do that, maybe they shouldn't give any date at all until 9 days before the remaining weeks fixtures. Of course, everyone would complain that wasn't enough time. Yet it's ok when Sky change the date?
And as for 'I don't miss games so I'll make sure I'm there' - well good for you. Not every fan has a job they can take a day off of at the drop of a hat.

They told us 6 weeks ago that the date was subject to change so not sure all these people have booked hotels.

| Good evening Rhinos fans, from a Leyther.
My 5 tickets for the main stand, booked through the efficient and helpful Leeds ticket office, arrived today, just before the change of date announcement was published. Unfortunately, three of those five people can't attend on Thursday - including my grandson, who was really excited about attending a 'big' stadium.
I guess these changes can't be avoided - although they shouldn't have to be - and I'll be contacting the efficient and helpful ticket office in the morning, to request a refund. For we 'newbies' to SL, it looks like it is something we will have to get used to.
The Leigh ticket office has been experiencing chaos this week, after the offer to let everyone in free for the Batley game. It now looks like your ticket office is in for some extra work too!
Here's hoping we can still see a decent crowd for a 'celebration' game!

| I would love it, love it , if, to make a point that both teams played weakened teams and only 300 turned up!
They would think twice about pulling such tricks again I'm sure

| I booked my tickets at the end of last week as I understand there is a written agreement between the FA and Sky in football no changes will be made within 3 weeks of a game to avoid such things happening.
Juan, do you have any links to where it says that written down anywhere? Haven't found anything up to now. I have been doing some investigating though and the RFL and Leigh both stipulate being eligible for refund if a game is rescheduled to a different date.
On media policies for U19 games on the RFL website they mention clubs have to give a minimum of 2 weeks' notice to change the date of a fixture; haven't found anything public on first team games but have requested a copy of their (inaccessible) Championship media policy to have a look.
If anyone wants a look at what I have found so far, I can put it up on here. Would be great though JC if you could give me any links (unless they have gone up since 6pm when I last properly checked)... Thanks

| Scratch that Juan - I have seen it on the website now. Think the link I found out on was a shorter version that said nothing about refunds, only that previous tickets would still be valid.
So hopefully that should be ok. Still going to speak to Sky and hopefully get given access to RFL media policies and can then bring that up if there is any agreement in place between the two...

| It wouldn't have been as bad if they would have changed it to the Saturday like the other middle 8 games have been on because I think it would have been easier for alot of people to change their plans with it being on the weekend but a Thursday at short notice is shocking

Last weeks under 19s game against was switched from being played at Salford on the Sat to being played at Headingley on the Fri with less than a weeks notice so the 2 week notice didnt apply then.
Also if 300 turned up Fri in protest as a previous poster said wouldnt that be what Sky want? It would mean more people at home watching Sky?
Game is Thurs 8pm, its happening regardless so aint much point moaning about it now.

Surely you can understand why people would be mad about this. Fair enough, if you live in Leeds and it's easy to get to the game it's not really an issue. But for those who have to plan and have extra expense it's not really thinking about them. People are going to be severely out of pocket from this change and surely have a right to vent that frustration.

icons077e_files/5454-3678dentheman-msnicons.jpg Your job is to say to yourself on a job interview does the hiring manager likes me or not. If you aren't a particular manager's cup of tea, you haven't failed -- you've dodged a bullet.:icons077e_files/5454-3678dentheman-msnicons.jpg |

Surely people realised Leeds would be the big draw for Sky in this mini-league?
I dont like Thursday games but i dont miss any game so will make sure im there. In fact the sooner this season is over the better so moving to Thursday makes it better in my eyes.'"
The fact you cannot understand the furore say much.
Most people don't object to moving fixtures as long as reasonable notice is given - 9 days is not reasonable in this day and age.
It is obvious why SKY have done it benefits their customers but upset Leeds and Leigh's customers. If you sell your soul then this is what happens.

| Leigh Fan here obviously ....
Booked 1 days leave about a month ago for this fixture on Friday 23rd & bought my match ticket from the LSV on Monday morning, had been 3rd in the queue for the *Free* Batley tickets to ensure we got in the North Stand (only for them not to be released until 2 pm when I was at work).
So I didn't get in the North Stand & have just been for a refund at the LSV, my gaffa not only wouldn't give me Thursday off but also now has no work for me on the Friday, now I am left with a useless days holiday & can't go to Leeds.
Our ticket office lad says that they only require 7 days notice from Sky/RFL which is unacceptable IMO, feel for those who have booked hotels & train tickets.
You can probably now expect to see less than half the Leigh fans attend due to this moronic change.
By the way, anyone know what Jamie Jones Buchanan's reg plate is ?

| Qualifier TV games were scheduled for 3pm Saturday, subject to change was either the Friday or Sat 3pm in my eyes. No Qualifier was scheduled for Thursday night. A Friday sesh with friends from Leeds with a hotel booked has now been cancelled, will get to the game due to my circumstances but many others especially families will not be able to make it. Were the clubs informed this is what we are doing or asked if they could accommodate?
