| Aboveusonlypie said 'But, we have beaten you twice so far this season,'. I am neither a Leeds or Wigan supporter and I would say the ref and officials beat Leeds last night not Wigan. A disallowed try which did not impede Tomkins in any way at all, however Tomkins being the larger man managed to throw his hands the highest in the air and got noticed so incorrect decision made and tryof the season disallowed. Knock on by Wigan which three officials failed to notice and hence a try to Wigan. Remove the 6 points from the knock on try from Wigan and add the 6 points for the try for the obstruction which never was and there is a very different score line. Wigan should be grateful to the officials for the points.

I know what you mean, but Silverwood had a strange game. He missed Leeds markers not being square all game. Wigan got the best of the decisions, no question. But you are giving Wigan no credit for a good performance.
I can understand BMc's frustration at the 'try'. It was brilliant play, but you can't blame Tomkins. He was impeded. Watkins blew himself up. That's what the video refs gave. Could it have gone the other way? Yes. If it had been Wigan I'd have been gutted, it seems so unfair because of the brilliance of the try and we all like to see good play rewarded.
Leeds missed Hardaker, but I thought that would allow Watkins free reign. It didn't happen.
With greater composure Wigan would have scored another couple of tries in the second half. It's all ifs and buts. In the end it was a great game, I hope the neutrals enjoyed it as much as I did.
We will probably meet five times this season, so the result probably doesn't matter a whole lot.

Well our opinions differ then. He denied he ever said that to Rod Studd which is quite another thing to your quote and so he has a perfect right to disagree with Studd's allegation. Studd then virtually called him a liar and Mac stood his ground. So you think he should not have stood up for himself do you?
As I said the rest of his comments were fair and reasonable under the circumstances and he did not resort to being too vritical of the decisions that went against him which is what Studd was trying to get him to do.
That you chose to side with Studd is ok but I disagree with your opinion.

I think it is something that is creeping into the game. I watch a lot of the NRL and it happens regularly. Players stay down hoping the decision will be reviewed and very often they are successful.
Wigan are far from being perfect but I would suggest that they are no worse than anyone else, and I'm not sure that you could call the odd isolated incident 'continual'. Watch the game tonight closely and see if I'm right.

Studd tossed him a pretty harmless question which would have allowed him to slate the referee in whichever way he saw fit
instead Mcdermott decided to go all "tony smith" on his a$$ which he didnt need to do and makes for an unecessarily awkward exchange

I think BM saw the attempt to draw him into a cheap shot at the official and avoided it. It was awkward though

| He also said it after Leeds were beaten by widnes in May. Can understand him being upset but ultimately he has said it more then once and has no doubt said it directly to rod before. Is he Nigel Pearson in disguise?

Studd sees his role in RL life to be controversial or at least to spark controversy as you would know if you'd watched last year's "Back Chat" programme. His question far from being harmless was aimed at getting BM to slag off the officials & blame them for the loss. Something for which he may later have been fined.
This he refused to do then & later in the "proper" press conference. He did not blame the officials for the loss but lays it fair & square at the players' feet for not being good enough in the first half.
You could deduce from that that he in some way does agree with Studd's assertion that we got what we deserved but in a more considered fashion.
Compare his repsonses with those of Cunningham & more frequently Wane after losses.

| Rod Studd was being a d!ck and got bitchslapped. If he was better at his job he'd have asked a better question. But he didn't and he wasn't.
Studd has to realise he's not on Backchat anymore talking over the top of people.

| Rodd has actually said on Twitter that he probably brought it upon himself. He knows what he is doing and he does add value imo.

Studd add value? He's an annoying little c**t that use to ruin Backchat by thinking he was the star and trying to wind up Stevo. Could've easily said "do you think you deserved a point?".....simple and straight forward but he words it like the annoying little turd he is.
He's another one that should be cleared out if Sky ever decide to overhaul the presentation of SL. Can't stand the guy.

If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.:icons39ad_files/4821-1859san_c-msnicons.jpg |

| Cant be doing with Mr Studd...
As for the play acting, well yes, it is prevalent, and we are as bad as anyone else..
But for Leeds fans to be critical of other teams "Ploys" is laughable. Danny McGuire tries to milk everything!! Sinfield who is constantly chirping at the ref, yes i know he is captain, but for goodness sake!! Hands ALWAYS left in at the play PTB. Ablett is a snide git of the highest order.

Come back to us when your club stops coaching people to cripple their opponents with cannonballs, crushers and chicken wings.
See Tony Clubb was at it again last night on Delaney. Shoulder charge into the standing leg of the held player with no attempt to use the arms. The Maguire legacy lives on in the coaching of the barely evolved ape Wigan currently have in charge.

| Wake fan . I'm sick to death of the 3 man in the tackle quite often joining in when the man's on the way down. No need for it and Wigan and widnes the best at it. You club Leeds presents itself in a professional manner and I hope you manage the trebble.
