| Quote: rhinoms "For me i see him more as Kylies replacement many were underwhelmed when we bought him and i still think/hope we'll bring another Prop in.
I see our 4 props as being Singleton Garbutt New Signing Mullally with the likes of Baldwinson/Mulhern as back up/rotation i think Cuthbertson will move into the BR but is still a good FR option.
I'd expect Yates to be released and i wouldn't be surprised to see Jjb and Achurch go in the next 12mths.
There is scope for 1 or more big forwards to come in imo then we could even see Mulhern spending a full yr on loan ala Baldwinson.'"
Baldwinson needs to be playing next year, and not championship one with Hunslet. He needs to be a regular 17 here or somewhere else. He can't play the Yates role of this year, that would be no good for either the player or Leeds. You can use a younger kid for that role. So he needs to move or at least have another year loan at a super league club.

He could easily fight his way in mate even more so given he can cover BR lets be honest we'll be lucky to get 15 games out of Mr Bump Delaney or jelly bones Achurch.

| Quote: Andy Gilder "The "new signing" part of that would have to be something spectacular for that foursome to be adequate for a side with ambitions of winning things, as none of the other three are good enough to do it IMO.'"
we have won things with 1 decent prop over the years. Kylie arguably an adequate 2nd prop in short stints. Bailey & Kirke were no show stoppers. I see Cuthbertson as the replacement for Peacock. Singleton is coming along nicely and Mulally is signing on. I think it would do us good to have a more balanced set of props, as we have been spoilt with Peacock doing so many minutes for so long.

Quite correct. The ledgerinily Mick Gledhill was tweeting yesterday that Widdop is a done deal?

Is it just me that would also be underwhelmed with this signing? Now Thurston...that would be different !!!
I can only think that Leeds are determined to build another team....a proper team without any real glamour boy 'marquee' signings...to carry on the decade of greatest ever success dynasty. .... AND maybe that aint a bad thing !!!

| It looks as though Cameron smith is off to Australia to play rugbyleague over there. Good luck tweets heading his way. That's a loss unless we have kept hold of his registration in the UK.

Widdop is like Sinfield with an amazing passing game and speed to burn! This would be the shrewdest signing in SL. Hodkinson would be similar (but with less speed). IF and it's a big IF GH is going down that road. I can't see it.

| Widdopp isn't leaving St George any time soon. Hodkinson is a good kicker but pretty ordinary as a playmaker.

He is off to Australia on a six week exchange that's all. They do it every year with his school. He agreed a contract last Friday with Leeds and I believe signed it Monday afternoon at the same time as a few of the other under 16's. There was a lot of tugging and counter offers from other clubs, the kid changed his mind three times in the last five weeks. He could have changed his mind again I suppose, but last I heard on Sunday was he was staying, and it is a longer than usual contract.

Good news, I had heard a while ago he was staying with the Rhinos. But seeing his recent tweets made it look concerning.
Also, Mitch Garbutt is on his way to Leeds as a mid season signing, two and a half year deal.

Time will tell whether or not he's a good signing but it's more than a bit handy to have him come over right now for the rest of the season given our lack of numbers.
