| I think he's right, FWIW.
The current season goes on too long and cuts down even further the rest, recovery and preparation time that elite players need in the off/pre season. If the intention is to keep the current structure of 30 regular season rounds, playoffs and Challenge Cup then a couple of say Friday-Wednesday-Sunday runs in a season is preferable to eating into the off-season by two weeks.

My ideal would be Easter weekend and the two bank holiday weekends in May. That would separate the season more.

* Cuthbertson should be rested. He is being flogged at the minute. Yates into the 17.
* Singleton & Kylie starting Props.'"
In my opinion you can't have both Yates and Mulhern in the 17. It makes us too weak at prop. One of Peacock or Cuthbertson will have to play. In my view it should be Peacock, we don't have to worry about him beyond this season.

A poor team with poor fitness in poor form with no confidence. If we don't comfortably win it is entirely down to our own lack of focus.

| Why rest anybody this game is worth 2 points just like if you beat Wigan at their ground , why take the risk. With our first team out it is as near to a guaranteed 2 points as you can get.

| Wakefield could be without a few more players for our game against them as big rumours of McShane to Salford, Hall to Hull KR, Godinet to St Helens.

I know of another, but thought it was from next season. Infact can't see any of them leaving before seasons out.

If they do, then that's Wakefield effectively giving up on staying in SL and I can't see that happening.

| For once I agree with glider.
It would be sheer ludicrous to allow 3 key players leave at this point with the position they're in, even if it was financially driven I very much doubt the value they'd receive for those players would total the income received by staying in SL.

| Apparently, the players were told if they didn't want to be at the club then they could leave. L Peea took them up on the offer, as did a few others so I wouldn't be surprised if they left mid season.
Would anyone here sign any of them? Simon, Dan Smith? Kirke

If they do that they won't be able to put a team out. Judging by some of the performances - the second half against Leigh for example - none of them looked like they wanted to be there!
Godinet would be a cracking signing for Saints. Imagine him zipping out of acting half late in games off the back of Walmsley, Amor and Masoe.

| Well, now we can legitimately talk about this
I'd rest at least one of JP and Cuthbertson, perhaps both. Hardaker if he's injured shouldn't play so I'd keep Handly on the wing. He made a couple of shocking decisions but he'll learn from them as he gains experience and improve his composure, I'm not sure he's a winger long term though, I reckon he'll probably end up in the centres.
I'd give Robbie Ward some game time and see how he goes off the bench in place of Burrow as well, but I doubt we'll see any changes unless they're forced through injury.

| Sadly, I think you're right.
Barring injuries, it'll be the same 17 getting flogged again.
