Maybe he watched Saturday's game and thought it'd be really easy getting into that Huddersfield starting team.

| That's a good point.
Surely it would be easier to get into a team with no props tho.

We are slowly starting to bring our own through like Singleton. Mulhern and Badwinson on the horizon.
Hudds should try it some time.

| Had two 19 year olds playing tonight.
Also brought Johnson through. Unlike Baldwinson he's actually played first team.
If sending youngsters out on loan is bringing them through then we are currently bringing loads through.

Baldwinson has played first grade for leeds.
He made his debut two years ago

Which of those 19 year olds were academy props from Hudds?

Apologies. He did. It was against us as well. He's a good player, I've watched him from under 12's. Really hope he makes it.
Printer - a centre and a hooker. Johnson is a prop though.

so you didn't sign Rapira because your bringing your youngsters through.
But then sign a lad that can hardly get a sniff at our lowly club!
Oh dear. Which youngster from the horizon will he replace?

OR
Leeds sign young international with a ton of potential.
Hudds sign injury prone journeyman.

| mullaly has a great deal of go forward, will easily make an average of 10m a carry but given you need to replace an 80 minute prop and possibly another who puts in a great deal of hardwork mullally isn't the answer. 7 tackles a game (missing 3) mullally has delivered in one game this season, and he's a bit of a liability penalty wise he just isn't going to be a suitable replacement for the likes of peacock and kylie- but will bring you great go forward. Anderson has kept dropping him due to his poor defence, that seemed to be more important to him than the avg 10 metre per carry he was delivering. I'd like to have kept him, so it seems would hudds, but it appears his agent has struck again!
He's a great asset to bring on for big impact, but for hardwork You will need at least another signing up front.

| Ha ha ha.
Clutching at straws there loiner.
My point is, according to Printer you were bringing your youth through. He's not your youth!
And international!........... Please, he plays for Ireland.

Pretty much. I think that Rapira brings more to the table day 1, but Mullally will give more over 3, 4 or 5 years down the line

| Aside from the timing of these announcements, there is little to be gained from the comparison unless you are interested in pointless inter-club peeing contests.
Despite the expected media hype, no-one in their right mind would think that Mullally has been signed as a direct like for like replacement for Jamie Peacock (even if the club hope to develop him in that direction).
I'd expect Leeds to be still looking for someone with more experience in the front-row, although admittedly this is a role that is going to require new signings and a collective step up from the likes of Singleton and other players coming into the team. Mullally will play an important (but initially secondary) role in rebalancing our pack for 2016.
