icons077e_files/5454-3678dentheman-msnicons.jpg Your job is to say to yourself on a job interview does the hiring manager likes me or not. If you aren't a particular manager's cup of tea, you haven't failed -- you've dodged a bullet.:icons077e_files/5454-3678dentheman-msnicons.jpg |

That would suggest some really bad planning from the club - they had a year under Lunt to sort it and apparently did nothing and now they scratching around again to find someone for one of the key positions in the team

Totally agree. Not moving hell and high water to get Lunt was a huge mistake.

Perhaps they hoped McHane or Hood would develop.

| Looking at it from the outside last year it seemed that Lunt was waiting for Leeds to sign him but it didn't happen (due to size of fee or whatever?). In the absence of that and no doubt with assurances from Anderson that he wouldn't mess him around like Brown had done he refocussed and went back to Huddersfield.
At the time we were trying to persuade Leeds to part with McShane, but Hetherington wouldn't entertain it (now I dont know what we were offering and it maybe we wanted him for nothing, all that I know is that we definitely tried to get him).
So I guess in the end the winners were Huddersfield, who got their player back on board and had a great season. McShane always seemed an outsider to McDermott's plans. Maybe he just cannot play the game McDermott wants him to. You don't get the impression that Mr McDermott goes in for compromise too much!
There are plenty of fans on our own site calling for us to go for him again, but I would be surprised if that happened now as we have picked up a lad called Carberry who was ahead of Logan Tomkins in the Wigan pecking order until he had a bad injury (broken leg I think), so I am sure we will want to see if he can recapture his previous form.

| McShane was very good 2 metre from the line try scorer. Reminded me of Jamie Lowes in the old days

I really don't think it's that as McDermotts "game plan" only consists of just pass it to Kevin. And when he tries to be creative as Betts let him be at Widnes he was dropped

| Thought it might end up being Sinfield's fault somewhere down the line. Just surprised it took until page four.
There are some ungrateful tw*ts on this forum sometimes.

| Mcshane has done right thing never got a fair crack at it.... behind a dominent pack he is a very good player twice the hooker burrow is.... but when the pack are'nt doin the business mcshane struggled (intensity in defence not good enough) I know burrows defence in middle of park non existent but burrow does'nt have to play behind a pack going forward to do something in attack... that's why he gets shoe horned into 9 slot to keep him playing and keep him happy. That means fans like me are'nt happy because all the best teams have a really good hooker and watching my team play without a proper one is really frustrating!!!!!

Ungrateful!!
Last time I checked he has and still is being paid a large salary to play for us of which I contribute to every season.
If you check my post you will find I was criticising the coaches tactical instructions .As soon as anybody mentions your idol in any kind of negative way justified or not you go on the attack calling people tw#ts
Your a clown and your opinions stink

982.jpg [quote:1pqtnbtj]Every player in our squad could probably earn more money with another club. But they prefer to sacrifice a few extra quid in their back pocket to share special memories. And playing at a place like Old Trafford on a night like this makes it all worthwhile.[/quote:1pqtnbtj]

I see he is ripping it up as well.
For the last four (maybe five) years he has been playing 1st grade in Super League and will likely do so next season somewhere else. I therefore fail to see how you've been proven right, quite the opposite in fact.

38511.jpg [b:3v5chy3z]Brian McDermott paraphrased Peter Fox.

maybe you would like to enlighten everyone as to what " not making it" means rogues,as your statement would imply that hundreds of current sl players "haven't made it" would it not?
macca is without a doubt a sl quality player and will be also when he moves from the rhinos
imo he is on a level with logan tomkins who is also a sl standard player but not in a top side like leeds or wigan

To be fair, make it means holding down a regular first seventeen spot, playing each game.
At times McShane has most certainly made it, but the coach wouldn't back him when required, so a bit of an enigma.

You did, but you also said something similar about Kallum Watkins and many others if I remember correctly
