There are two sides to that argument, Leeds can say hey we played their main team with half ours missing and gave them a game, the future looks rosey and everything is right with the world.
Wire can say well we didn't turn up, played pants and took the two points regardless of a well below performance.

Wigan took a 'moral victory' against us, so in theory they learned a lot from that...then Cas beat them at home and then very nearly lost to Bradford a week later.

People can take what they want from any game but at the end of the day the only thing worth taking is the 2 points.

I think that's fair enough HY both sides will have a different take on the result and performance and IF the roles were reversed i'm sure we'd or at least most would have the same approach as you have.

Hopefully a proper 'cracker' of a game awaits us at OT and we both have a full compliment of players, i've really grown to liking the Leeds fans and really don't understand the bad rep you get from Wigan/Saints/the rest of Yorkshire as fans, which is surprisingly refreshing considering your from the same place as Leeds Utd fans.

I'm afraid it is your bad. The players do not have to go back to the ref. The players have to go back 10m, the ref can go back as far as he wants. Don't worry, lots of supporters slag off the ref without knowing the rules.

Mate, why was he pinging players for being in front one minute and not the next, he was just picking and choosing when to call it, i know the rules and i'm aware some prefer to drop to 11 and have the players sit in front of them, but they were quite clearly NOT ONSIDE

No, i'm not turning this into a he was a 'home or away' ref, he was just equally turd and inconsistent.

The pyschology of spectating is you don't tend to look for your own teams infringements, when the opposition have the ball you tend to focus on the opposition and how you think they are going to open you up, whereas when we have the ball at the ptb you tend to look at how the defensive line is set up.

As a neutral I watched both. He wasn't.

As a person at the game, closer than you was, the line was constantly 8 back not 10, me and all the people around me could see it and rightly made noise about it, if my camera phone wasn't so crap i would have posted the evidence.

It was, and for both sides, much too narrow. The only time he didn't was the last set of the match, and you gained from it. So what's the problem?

My problem isn't really that we we gained or lost from it, my problem is that it shouldn't be happening, how the hell are the players mean't to stick to the rules if he's applying them so inconsistently.

You're right, a win is a win but we can take comfort in knowing that our kids very nearly turned over a one of the best team in the league with a full strength team.
