| It seems to me that Leeds fans just WANT it to be a problem. It's straight forward enough for anyone over the age of 6 to understand. If Leeds can't get the information (or tickets) out to their fans correctly its hardly the fault of the giants. I suspect "blocks" weren't allocated initially because neither club were sure how many would take up the offer. It works with football- the fact it's two different set of supporters should actually make it easier- providing Leeds fans don't be awkward about it as you'd suspect that fans would want to sit with their own. I sit in the direct golf stand in the central section and my seat will have a giants reserved sticker on it- and ill expect to sit there without issue.... Unless of course someone decides to be a Richard about it- which makes it their problem.
There is no "small club" mentality from giants - its a perfectly workable system that no one else has ever complained about- just an arrogant lets be awkward mentality from some from Leeds.

So looking at it from this perspective it looks as though it is Leeds who don`t have many fans.
Not having a pop but it annoys me when supporters have digs at other supporters.'"
Your average was 7,709 last year but I'd be interested to see how much away fans contribute to that figure

| All sounds very familiar, same set of problems caused trouble in the past when the large one tier stand was shared between home and away fans.
Home fan turns up at last minute and finds away fan (who has been there an hour) in his seat. It had a small paper sticker on once but this has long since peeled off and no stewards in sight, scuffle ensues and away fans are sent to the worst stand in the ground from then on.

I don't want it to be a problem and I do understand what the system is, but I just cant see how you can force Leeds fans to go sit in Blocks 1 and 2 when it says unreserved on our tickets. That means if I see 3 seats together that are in block 5 (obviously now without "Giants Reserved" on the back), I will sit down there so myself and my party can have a good view. I was always going to get sideline tickets and did ask for "as close to halfway as possible" before being told they are unreserved. I still plan to sit as close to halfway as possible and will not be in blocks 1 or 2.

There are Giants fans saying the same things on your forum as the Leeds fans are on this one, so its a concern to them as well.
But anyway, serious question, you've got the two centre sections of the Direct Golf Stand which is where all of your season ticket holders sit and you're promised priority over those seats for cup games as long as you pay for those seats seperately.
So, do you have to make the club aware that you are going to be using that seat before they put the reserved sign on it, or do they just reserve all of the seats that they know have season ticket holders ?

If they have printed the tickets (they being the Giants) for that stand then they have Ed Ballsed up

The reserved stickers are on all season- as this system is in place all season- with no problems. Seeing as we've probably sold more tickets than we have season ticket holders it seems reasonable that the majority of those seats will be filled.

| An Unreserved ticket is for an unreserved seat, this fact doesn't make every seat in the ground unreserved.
There are reserved seats for season tickets holders who purchase a ticket, simples!

| Hudds should have made it more clear, there will be a lot of Leeds fans turning up believing they can sit anywhere they like because they are unaware that some seats are reserved. Would have just been a lot easier if they allocated seats.

So its possible - as always happens in cup games - that there will be fewer attendees than reserved seats ?
By the way, selling more tickets than reserved seats won't help as only the season ticket holder can sit in their own seat, no one else can because its got the reserved sign on it even if that person doesn't turn up.
Seems like a strange system but I can see how its pandering to the season ticket holder at a club where you don't have many season ticket holders and have to offer them every snippet of apparent advantage, even though it causes you administration problems down the line.

| Season ticket holders shouldn't be guaranteed their usual seat for non-regular season games. If they get there first then fair enough but it's too hard to police. It could be carnage tomorrow and the fault lies squarely at Davy's door. They should have split that stand 50/50 at the halfway line. Can't wait for the usual 'anecdotal evidence' tomorrow night. Might go just to see how it pans out now!
Claims Direct on speed-dial just in case!

| Would imagine if it had been at Leeds all their season ticket holders would be sat in their seats?
There ya go then that's your answer, leave the reserved seats alone, Sit on the unreserved seats and you will still get a perfect view.
Problem solved, enjoy the game

No, Leeds season ticket holders would have had a set deadline to buy their seats and thereafter they would be on sale to anyone, Giants fans included. You buy a specific seat at Headingley. It's called organisation.
