3 years ago today i became ill with all my blood clots and other problems they have caused.i was given less than 48 hours to live and like you am on warfarin and beta blockers for life.ive had some good bleeds these last few years LOL. next month i will have been back at work for a year, so 2 years off work because of my clots and no heavy lifting or full time work allowed still and still under the hospital for at least 2 more years.. i read a report that BJB said he was pleased it wasnt a life threatening condition. i think he ll find it is/was and was found in time to hopefully do him no harm. hopefully this is a one off for him and the warfarin and clot busting injections he will have will sort the problem for him and he can get back to full health and fitness.something i can only dream of but have come to accept my lot now.

On a different note, no contact for 3 months. Hmmmm? It looks like his missus is going to have jaw ache for a while until normal 'work-outs' are allowed.

Ben is young and that can be why he didn't think it wasn't a life threatening condition but I bet he does now after what the docs will have told him. As long as he's careful he'll be fine and that he'll be off Warfarin but there is always that chance he might not be but that is dependent on what the doctors tell him. Mine was a spontaneous attack with no reason for me to have had the emboli and that's why the doctors told me it's too risky to come off Warfarin so, like you, I'm popping those lovely coloured tablets for life.

I've lost 2 people who were very dear to me to pulmonary embolisms. So first thoughts will just be relief that it was caught and dealt with. Concerns over wing positions can be dealt with later.

Good news for Bish.
Apparently he has been given the go ahead to start non contact training following a good outcome to his scan recently.
He reckons it could be less than the 6 months prediction at the start of his illness.
With a bit of luck he could be back playing by June if not sooner.

That's great news lets hope al goes well for the lad.

In related news his missus has 'gone down' with jaw lock.
