I would be interested to see the evidence of fewer ( not the gramatically incorrect ' less ' ) missed tackles and penalties conceded than Clarkson. Not what I would associate said player being much guilty of.
I did state " maybe " incidentally.
Kirke is a safety first option
According to Stobart SL website Clarkson has 20 missed tackles to Kirke's 14. Clarkson has given away 7 penalties to Kirke's 2.
Sooooo sorry for my incorrect grammar. I am of course aware that the goalposts have been changed in GCSE grading, but wasn't aware that such lofty standards had been applied to posts on rugby league forums.

' Less ' sand, but ' fewer ' grains of sand. ' Less ' shopping, but ' fewer ' items of shopping ... Thank you Waitrose
If something can be numerically counted ( even if only theoretically as in grains of sand/sugar or indeed atoms in each grain then it is ' fewer' ) ... Simples.
Go on then .... I'll let you select Kirke. As I stated not really bothered whether he or Clarkson ( or Griffin ) gets sacrificed.... as long as McGuire gets the nod. As others have stated we need craft and guile to create some scoring chances sadly lacking against Wigan.

| Quote: Sal Paradise "McGuire has to play - Friday was a brilliant game but what did we actually create in attack?
We got one try from a dropped ball and the Burrow scoot apart we didn't really look like breaking Wigan down. Warrington looked impressive on Saturday and I am not sure we would win an arm wrestle against such a big side. We need as many attacking options as possible - McGuire and Ward have to play for me I would drop Griffin before I dropped Kirke.'"
I agree re McGuire and the need to create in attack.
We need Sinfield, McGuire and Burrow all on the pitch at the same time for maximum options ... with Lunt at Hooker so that Burrow isn't using his energy defending the middle.

It was only a flypast (I did decide to go to Scampton in the end - even though it was further and meant going through Lincoln - seen it at Waddinton plenty of times so drove by on the A15, gave XM607 and the people in the WAVE a wave and carried on. Last time I saw it at Scampton was at their final public airshow - '91 I think it was so first time for me in it's present post 2007 return to flight guise at the original home of the Dambusters. First time, perhaps last time?
One sedate pass down the length of the runway so nothing to speak of really but the symbolism was as strong as ever and as this was the final flight for 2012 you never know.
Quote: nantwichexile "A proper front rower......not like these pansy Tornadoes who could also play at being wingers (I believe the last F1's have been retired ?)'"
Assuming you were thinking of the F3 they were retired from service March 2011. The GR4 lives on though and still hurtle overhead my house at fairly regular intervals - not regular enough mind but absolutely fantastic when they approach unannounced.

I see that a preposition is something you are happy to end a sentence with.
Me too.

Clearly we need McGuire on the pitch at some stage BUT
That first 40mins against Wigan was arguably the best rugby we have played all year and I dont think that was some sort of accident. The balance of the team was right for them to be able to set what turned out to be a winning platform.
Is Mcguire 100% ??? I dont think so !!! should be save him for the second half ???...maybe.

Please spare me the English tuition. I could pick holes in your English too, but really couldn't be d.
The truth is of course that neither you nor I will select either Kirke or Clarkson. I would guess that Brian McDermott, however, will almost certainly select Kirke and may select Clarkson.

Didn't appear to have any difficulty following the speedy Bailey and going the final fifty in Perpignan before his enforced rest at the weekend.
Still a difficult decision whether he steps straight back in at scrum-half because in McDermott's World that will mean Burrow at hooker and Lunt on the bench and I agree with you that's not how I'd like Leeds to start.
The difficulty in accomodating Sinfield's decision to only play standoff and Burrow's insistance on starting continues for the beleaguered coach.

Thats a fair point and IIRC he is currently the SL top career try scorer so its no easy decision.

I am inclined to think McD is more of a "cerebal" coach than he gets credit for.
The choice of playing Lunt from the start was forced on him I presume and after the semi he might be inclined to stick with that which then presents the problem of accommodating Burrow and McGuire in a starting role.
It also maybe gives Tony Smith something to think about as well.

yep ! Sorry ... The F3. ( whatever did happen to the F1 .. Not the Mirage ...and the F2 ?? )
I also agree with you. Lunt should start, but - alledgely -obvious player power dictates Sinfield plays SO ( his favourite, bestest coach ever will allow it of course ) and that Burrow too must start......

Have you got evidence to support this or is it hearsay?

Oh I am aware my English on here isn't perfect.........
Some things just grate and I feel the need to ' educate ' ....it can be a fault. I should have really learned my lesson at a late 70's Church Fenton airshow when I corrected a father telling his two young sons the aeroplane they were looking at was a Spitfire when it fact it was a Hurricane ( mk 2 to be exact ). I got a torrent of abuse for that one .
Kirke it is then

Sinfield has stated his preference on which position he wished to play (not solely restricted to his club career - although that depends how you interpret comments made by Brian Noble as far back as 2004.)
Burrow has stated he prefers to start and that is what he is used to doing.
Both, publically at least, will be happy to play in whichever position they are selected and that would inlude starting on the bench.

Like it .... Sometimes one just cannot be 'd' with colons.
Burrow never defends up the middle by the way: it is always in the left centre position I believe.
Think I have just commited the 'sin of correction' again. Oops ! !
