Bless Nicola 'I wanna go to Nandos to celebrate' Adams .... The BBC fixed her up with a big limmo and took her to the Savoy Hotel, just about one of the poshest joints in town. Her eyes were nearly on stalks and she couldn't get over what was in there.
She better get used to that sort of thing, as I have a feeling she'll be encountering it a lot more over the next few months.
Also the stuff in her victory speech ... "I love Yorkshire, I love Leeds" almost had the chip fat in the rest of our veins sizzling with pride at that sort of thing.
The bad news is, that all she'll have to look forward to in the UK (by way of civic recognition) is a slap-up tea in the Mayor's Parlour in Civic Hall. Had she had been from just about any other European country going, they'd have named a street after her. Are you watching Leeds City Council ? There's still time ....
Finally, I trust the club can pull out all the stops and get them all in front of the South Stand for either the Salford game or a home play-off match. I'm up for 15 minutes of chanting 'Yorkshire !' at them.
