How many titles do you have to win at the club before people remember your name?

Thats exactly the point being made rastrick, the lad hasn't had a run of games to prove one way or the other if he his good anough. he always looks ok to me but as has been said theres a lot of competition for backrow and how do you give em all a run?

Pitts had a choice of clubs when coming to end of his contract, Wakefield deperately wanted him to stay, but we decided to get in early and pay a fee, on the basis that we had a shortage of players ready for the next step. Those were the opportunities presented to Pitts, and he went for the one from Leeds.

Look at what he club announced the intention was for him, and look at what he is doing now.

He was mis-led.

I'm disputing it. As the Brain Trust of you and Gotcha are claiming it, let's see if one of you can prove it.

If he's not good enough yet, he should be given a loan to prepare him to potentially play week in week out. If he's not deemed good enough he should be let go. If he's going to be used in rotation, he should stay patient. Simple.

.... And it's a shame. Without a doubt he has better abilities than some we could all name ( and is younger ).
I am still optimistic that Hauraki can make a decent second rower, but I'm also sure Pitts could have been developed into something the equal of Huaraki.......and thus freed up a valuable quota spot to boot.

.... And even if you're right G1 is it really that important to you to be proven right ? Personally I couldn't be bothered researching what you've done here.....

Im not saying its anybodys fault. I wouldnt blame Pitts if he turns out to be not good enough. But players have been and are given chances in the first team in the 2nd row. A young player has shown himself to be better, and a centre has proven himself better. These are the facts of life for a professional sportsman. If Pitts wants to play first team, he needs to prove himself good enough for first team.
