| SBW and Quade Cooper are apparently being hawked around the NRL for 2013 by their agent (who isn't actually accredited, which is angering the registered agents). Apparently SBW is keen to return to Sydney, and there's a strong belief that the upcoming TV deal will lead to a big increase in the cap money available here.

| He was playing for a sub-super league French side - possibly Toulouse - earlier this year.

Another forum is still mentioning Tuilagi and Hape are being linked with us.
Is this old news or is it now being resurrected?

Welcome to the delights of intenet forums - what starts as a rumour in one place surfaces as fact in another before moving off and becoming rumour somewhere else.
If Leeds are genuinely looking for a player to "make a difference" then Shontayne Hape should be somewhere very close to the bottom of their wishlist. Stick a fork in his career, it's done - well, to the point he could probably still play in the Premiership for another couple of years anyway.

Hape has also just joined London Irish on a 2 year contract so we would have to pay a fee.

| Some of the French RU outside backs are good to watch, but that isn't going to happen. Baille is a decent player, and wouldn't be a bad signing, would add some depth to the squad.
Hape is not really one for the future, and has magically swapped all his skill for a bit of extra size since switching codes. No thanks. Tuilagi is a beast of a man and would go well in either code, but will be on some fairly serious (and rising) coin in RU, so that also isn't going to happen.

You reckon?
I'm not convinced he has the hands to make it as a rugby league outside back to be honest, although that might happen for him over time when he absorbs the idea he can't just run over everyone he faces.

I think he's a fairly uncomplicated weapon. He isn't the most creative player in the world, but we don't produce many creative centres in this country. While it would be nice to have a player who can find imaginative ways to unlock a defence, if you can't find one then a player who can just batter the door down is the next best thing.

I've looked on a few London Irish forums and there's no speculation that Hape is leaving. I know Gary H keeps negotiatons top secret but usually some news slips out. So the mystery possible new signing who can make a difference to the team is still a mystery! Are the Catalan players still on Gary H's radar screen?
