| What has it come to when we are taking seriously a link to a player like Richard Moore? If that's where we are currently aiming to recruit, then it's time to change the recruiter...

| Spot on batley, Moore is a decent player but not at all in the class we need what does it say to the young guns out on loan. Amor has definatly come a long way at Wakey and Ambler did well for us and indeed I suppose for Harlquins. Surely these lads along with such as Singleton are the way forward if no ready made good, stress good forwards are available.

| So we've let one of the best young props in the game go to the NRL and replaced him with a 30 year old bald ginger?? FFS.
I'd much rather we didn't sign a prop and give Amor or Ambler a chance instead of rejects like Moore.

| Oh the outrage.
Would this be the same Richard Moore that was pretty much the best prop on the pitch for either side when Crusaders visited Headingley in SL?
I'd have him over Leuluai any day of the week. At least he can play more than ten minutes without looking like he needs an oxygen cylinder.

Who is taking it seriously? It's a rumour from Dave Nosey Parker in the sun. You can rest your knee. Don't want you to over-jerk it unless and until the signing actually happens.

Yup. I called it the same way.

If it was Dave Nosey Parker who had come out with it on his own then I wouldn't be interested, never mind concerned, but it's also red hot over here that this is true. The rumour is that Cas and Wakey were interested, but that Moore has told them Leeds have been in touch and it looks like he's going there.
If, and I agree it's still an if until it's confirmed, then it is a very poor signing indeed.
Andy, I personally wouldn't have signed Leuluai again, his best days are well behind him, and we've know this for two years.

Who is this "we" you speak of?

| Anyone who has watched his input over the last year or two. To counter your point, are you suggesting that he is still one of the top props in SL? Actually, who do you see as the top 6 props in SL?

That's me and about 13,000 other Leeds fans then. So, you speak for all of us do you?
Quote: batleyrhino "To counter your point, are you suggesting that he is still one of the top props in SL?'" What point are you countering? I've asked who the "we" was that knew Kylie was past his best for two years.
Quote: batleyrhino "Actually, who do you see as the top 6 props in SL?'" Does that have anything to do with whether Kylie has been past his best for two years, whether "we" have all known that or anything we've been discussing to this point?

| Now then Andy and bloodbath, lets face it to be best prop on field against Crusaders wouldn't have been hard the way we played/were playing. In my opinion we need considerably better options not saying he's poor but don't think he's right for us, his he better than Cross?

| Just looked at some stats and Moore concedes far too many errors and gives away far too many penalties. Worse than any of our current props.

In the games against Crusaders Moore stood out as one of the best forward performers on that pitch. I made this point on here then, it's not a retrospective pat on the back. I call it as I see it. He made a dent, played well and stood out. Fact, if you like. My position on Moore is quite clear, he wouldn't add much added value in taking us back to that next level. But small, subtle, improvements within the balance of a squad - you can get there in instalments. I mean IMO, Moore is a better prop than Cross (of course) and Biff (slighty harder to call) so Moore could fill the gap of bodies of who have left with a better playing option. But the counter point (re: the blooding of Singleton and the usage of Ambler and Amor - then squad age) is probably the determining factor as to why Moore shouldn't be signed, or considered to be signed.
