| Quote: JoshyyCas "I work for william hill, yes they make us outsiders..from the fact that you have far more experience in big matches like this in the past. They obviously don't think we 'don't have a chanve in hell' or we would be 100/1 would we not? I really hope your boys go into the game with the same attitude as you because if they do you may have a shock coming..'"
They make you outsiders not because they don't think you have a chance, but because none of their punters think you have a chance. That's how bookmaking works isn't it? Balancing odds depending on what direction the money's going?
FWIW I think 16-1 is far too long for just winning two games, particularly given you'll be able to hedge and lay at probably 4-1 for the final if you beat Leeds (which I don't think you will, but in betting terms it's good value).
/betting advice.

| Hull and Castleford have a lot in common socially, economically, intellectually and demographically.

| I wasn't aware there was a competition going on for the best come back. Not interested anyhow. I just deal with reality.
Leeds are an ordinary team this year. Fortunately for them, Castleford are whipping boy rabble (just like Hull FC). That's why Leeds are off to Wembley again and Castleford are just making up the Semi Final numbers.
You may have noticed the celebratory Leeds dressing room immediately after they were aware of who they'd drawn in the Semi Final? I certainly did. Their collective expressions had 'Wembley' written all over them.

Ironic that one of the worst performing Leeds teams for years will win this year's CC.
I believe the team will raise their game for the semi (just a little) and do it again (a lot) for the final. Too many of the current squad still have this one piece of silverware missing to let it slip again. Sinfield, Senior (yep he'll be back for this one) and Buderus etc will get their winning medals. McDermott will get the unjustified praise.
There won't be enough however for anything else other than an early play off exit. Warrington will win the GF.

| Quote: Keith Swiftcorn "Current CC Odds
Well done. You've posted odds on who is going to win the CC to try and twist it to suit your argument.
The odds are reflected as such because it is very unlikely that Cas will beat Leeds and then the victors of Wigan v Saints.
Never mind, at least some of your fans have shown themselves to be fairly balanced, reasonable and appreciative of the fact that Cas will be up for it.

I agree, so why are you arguing?

Where have I said that Castleford won't be up for it? Of course they'll be up for it but it's highly unlikely that'll be enough to secure them a trip to Wembley.
I deal with reality and the reality is that Castleford are just making up the Semi Final numbers. When was the last time Castleford won a CC Semi Final during the SL era?
Exactly.

What selective quoting? I quoted your earlier response in full.
Quote: Fully "Never mind. I can't be d arguing with someone who talks nonsense.'"
Feel free to return when...
1. You're able to refrain from ascribing the [i'nonsense'[/i you happen to be spouting on to others.
2. You're able to construct a valid argument for Castleford as a genuine contender to win the CC Semi Final by citing some evidence of previous Castleford CC Semi Final wins during the SL era.
3. If you can't manage (2) above, I'll have to assume you're in agreement with me that Castleford are just making up the Semi Final numbers based on past SL evidence, and that they are indeed just whipping boys in waiting.

Precisely.
Betting odds never represent the actual likelyhood of any event happening, they merely represent a commercial decision by the profitable enterprise of the bookmaker to pitch a sale at a level that will attract the most fools eager to part with their money for no tangible benefit.
