Tom Briscoe's signed for you?

Whilst Tom Briscoe is a cracking young prospect, only one of Ryan Hall and Tom Briscoe looked like the best British Winger last night, and it wasn't young Tom.

Fairly similar stats. It says Hall has only made 13 scoots from dummy half, surely that is incorrect?

I also agree, they certainly are a statistical comparison of Hall and Briscoe.

For me, Briscoe is the more skillful, whilst Ryan has more power. Be nice to see both turning out in the Rhino's colours next season......

So on those stats

Briscoe has:

-More metres/carry.
-More tackles/game
-More offloads
-More runs from dummy half
-More tackles busts
-More marker tackles (although the difference between the two is negligible)
-Less missed tackles

Ryan Hall has:

-Less penalties
-More attacking kicks
-More clean breaks
-1 try more than Briscoe

but yes, obviously you're 100% able to claim that Ryan Hall is the better winger based on the performance in 1 game. Consider how they play over a series of games rather than just the one.



FWIW, as a personal pov I think that both Briscoe and Hall are great players, and I would like to see both on the wings for my club and England. As I have very tinted glasses about this, for obvious reasons, I do prefer Briscoe but I think that they're both good players that have their own strengths and weaknesses.

You also ignored Hall having more more tries, more metres, more carries per game, more clean breaks, and more assists all in a game less. You were right, those glasses were pretty tinted.

The difference in tries is negligible, there's 1 between them but yes, you're right, I did overlook that stat.

That doesn't automatically make him the best. Paul Gallen plays for Cronulla but he's still widely considered the best 13 in the game at the moment.
